It's been a while since that one but we most likely used a Sherwin Williams color to go for the local branch color block in, but the shadow values and highlight were done with golden acrylics and glaze. Total values on the bark were four, two below the local mid tone block in and one highlight above it.
i see windows on right side wall. i guess the shadow part of the painting should be on left side to reflect lights source that comes from windows to make better effect
That would be true if we were trying to fool the eye or make it look like it was really there. Our intent was to paint it in a decorative way, to celebrate the subject in a given space. So the light source was not an issue.

We’ll, that was a long time ago, but you could see our clothes change so that’s a good indication. We used golden acrylics I believe.
