I'd ma5ke a case for King Felix. Wins aren't there but that's not his fault. For his first 10 full seasons in the majors (2006-2015) he had an ERA+ of 127, pitching 30+ games each year. 6 time All Star. Cy Young. I think he belongs, but I'm a big hall guy.
@@bruce5402 If Jones walked away after 10 years I think they would have put him in already. The problem is he started young and stayed long after age humbled him. I would put him in.
If cc gets in with a career ERA closer to 4 than 3 its an absolute disgrace. I'm sure he's a good guy and he was a really good starter. Not good enough. Why don't we just let anyone in with a cy young who pitched 16 years or whatever it was. Verlander, scherzer, Kershaw should be the next starters in and I don't think cc is even close to those guys.
Career 61.8 bWAR, 66.5 fWAR, 118 ERA+, 250+ wins. I think he gets in. I don't think it is a sure thing first ballot , but I can see him getting in withing 5 years. He was a big guy and clubhouse leader and media friendly and that all helps his case because it made him memorable, but I agree the stats don't quite back up the legend.

Don’t worry, Gil won.
