Wonderful video, thank you. I was on a club ride Sunday (Canberra to Robertson, via Tarago) and saw bunches of chairs and ‘special event’ signs by the side of the road in many small towns on the way. Didn’t occur to me what was going on until I watched your Vlog Sunday night. We even stopped at Goulburn on the way home for a coffee - penny didn’t drop then either, even though I noticed bikes everywhere. I would have gone to the event had I known early. Must be what happens when you live in the ‘Canberra Bubble’!
All the Canberra rider groups on FB had been sent regular updates from the 100 anniversary Facebook page. This was a 1st time event like this in Goulburn run by volunteers for a non-profit, I think we did ok, sadly not everyone gets all the notifications 😊
Hi Chris, a mate sent me a FB video of the parade, and there in the middle was your familiar face. Hope it was a great weekend. I lived in Goulburn back in 1983/84, a nice place.
You visited my home town. I thought I saw you in the street parade of bikes. I had family commitments so I couldn't join in the celebrations. I hope you enjoyed your visit to Goulburn. There were a of bikes in town over the weekend. I hope the reenactment of the original ride was a success. Thanks for promoting the event on your channel.
Hi Chris....did you happen to meet Pete and Toni Birthisel of Indian Engineering Australia at the event? Great people and a huge part of the classic Indian community. I see you also had footage of a hand shift racing Indian #58...that one belongs to a great character...Mick Petith.
hey mick .. i saw them set up but sadly didn’t get a chance to chat .. they were kept busy very time i saw them !! next time im at an event if they’ve there i’ll chat to them .. thanks for watching
@@thecreativecruiser No worries. Another cool event you might be interested in is the Big Chill motorcycle race meeting at Stanthorpe in Qld. 20th and 21st of July...cool event, cool organising club and a great town. There'll be classic 80 year old Indian hand shift bikes racing at this event. I can put you in touch with the organisers if you want.
the committee and town want to turn this into an annual event .. but of course with a slightly different name .. finger crossed we will be back next year !!
Thanks Chris, for the video promoting the Goulburn event that so many were a part of and also chatting to Howard, especially when it's about the stuff he loves. Just a request, is it possible to get a copy of the great group photo with some of our committee with you in front of your amazing bike, love it, many thanks, his other half... Julie 😁
