I miss this paramore. They’re still good but just not the same anymore. Awesome that Farro came back on drums, but now we just need his brother and Davis back on guitar and they’d be set.
That's unfortunately a common phenomenon in live sound. I'll try to explain it as simply as I can; the speakers (which are at the outermost edges of the stage) have to be pointed in a certain way in order for things that come out of the right speaker don't mix too much with the things that come out of the left speaker. This creates a "dead zone" usually in the middle right in front of the stage, because the speakers aren't pointed inward enough for the sound to go there. There are ways to prevent this, but unfortunately it's not seen as a big problem, and therefore many audio engineers don't bother. So why does only the vocals disappear? Well, the drums are pretty loud right? They don't need amplification that close, they can be heard anyway. And the guitars and bass? They have amplifiers on stage that can be hear when you're that up close. The vocals though, they aren't loud enough to cut trough. They need the main speakers. So there ya' go! Hope it helped.
