Thank you so much for this video. I've being looking to other channels and everything was more complicated and this video is so clear and straight forward to explain how to ship canvas in this medium and small sizes. so thanks again for sharing the process with us!
@@KrystleColeArt I shipped my artwork yesterday. After you made it stress free with your guidance, I spent more time adding special trinkets that I had around the house that I thought would show how much I love, respect and appreciate her. I made it really personal with 2 handwritten notes hidden in there. I enjoyed packaging it more than I did creating the painting. She's a super special person to lots of us. You see, she was our first WHITE Teacher. I grew up in the Jim Crow segregated South. She introduced us to many opportunities through field trips that we never had before. It gave me something to dream about. I credit her for freeing my mind about race and that field trip to the local airport at 9yrs old? Changed my whole outlook on life! She's old now and still checks up on us on Facebook and Holidays. Anyway, thank you for your video. ♥️
great video, and im curious (maybe you went over this but my brain is mush at this point)... when you sell a painting on etsy, and because paintings can be pricey to ship, where is the price of shipping applied? does etsy add shipping to the buyers price at checkout because you've entered the weight of it? or do you just pay for it yourself? Im totally clueless as to the particulars to this question and cant seem to find the right answers.
I'm a seller on etsy and supposedly etsy calcultes it into the price before the buyer pays but recently they have been failing to do so. So basically I'd calculate it into the price of the painting, which isn't the perfect solution because there are different shipping prices to different countries but Etsy does not offers a solution
How do you make prints of your artwork? I'm growing my etsy shop and I dont have any prints to add to the box or anything but I want to get greeting cards with my paintings. Also what paint do you use?
If you ship in a free USPS priority mailing box, you must ship priority. If I don't use one of their free boxes, I usually just ship the very cheapest way possible. That could be with USPS or UPS.
If you go to USPS.com you can put in your pkg size/estimated weight and it will tell you the exact cost. This size via USPS in the USA is usually around $10.
I've used two methods. One, just printing them on my inkjet printer on paper and then cutting out the label and taping it to the box. Recently, I upgraded to a thermal label printer. That comes with labels that are stickers you just peel off and stick to the package. Both methods work. But I like the label printer a bit better because it's easier, no taping.
@@KrystleColeArt I got the same size but now im not sure how much shipping would cost. I dont want it to seem like im overcharging for shipping when I sell a painting. What do you pay on average when shipping a 11x14 painting?

that nice I LIKE that good job
Vey informative ..Thanks for the video..Which printer you use for print your art work?
I made a couple videos about it, check my channel page...an Epson P800 and P6000 😃
Question: do you not pay the usps flat rate for shipping their priority? Do you have to get a priority label?
If you ship in a free USPS priority mailing box, you must ship priority. If I don't use one of their free boxes, I usually just ship the very cheapest way possible. That could be with USPS or UPS.
@@KrystleColeArt Is it okay to provide my own label or do I have to pay UPS flat rate? Thank you
Can you share where you purchase your foam and bubble wrap from?
I usually buy them on amazon
Thanks for this video it was so helpful ! I haves question for a painting this size , what is the usual estimate for the shipping ?
If you go to USPS.com you can put in your pkg size/estimated weight and it will tell you the exact cost. This size via USPS in the USA is usually around $10.
@@KrystleColeArt okay , thanks !
Great content! Question, do you put anything on the back of your canvases? Like a dust cover?
I don't put anything on the back of my canvases, no dust covers
what is the name of that box? is it called a flat rate box?
Thank you for all these tips! Also I just discovered that USPS offer the Fragile stickers for free also.
Good to know!
May you tell me from which site did you get boxes for your paintings when you shipping. Thanks

hi where did you get your box from?
USPS.com
@@KrystleColeArt what’s the size of the box?
How much is it to ship this or average size canvas this way?
About $10-$20
What size box did you get for the 11x14 painting?
There are a couple sizes that fit 11x14 paintings on the USPS website, I think I'm using a 12.5 x 15.5 x 3 box in this video.

And you never had an issue with the corners of the canvasses being damaged? That's my biggest fear. 😂
No, not with the way I pack them. I've never had any canvases damaged in shipping. Keeping my fingers crossed that it stays that way! :)
