Very nice Kerry. One of our best days in Big South Fork. We saw a bit of everything you can see up along those bluffs. A big Thanks to Aron Mooneyhan for his assistance. The old road can be used by anyone who doesn't want to take Maude's Crack to link up with the Sheltowee Trace. That bluff line is amazing with all the huge rockhouses and formations. Just an awesome place to go off trail and explore around. Maybe we could down the old road but turn in the opposite direction sometime. Huge blufflines around there too.
Was out at Yellow Cliffs last year with Papaw and Aaron. I found it pretty fascinating too! I think that other rock house with the cloth and the iron remnants was pretty neat. Good find! Have yet to see Caprock, really want to one day. Enjoyed tagging along with you 🙂. Good video Kerry!
Wow! It looks like you all had a great adventure, Kerry! Your video makes me wish I could of joined you! Kerry, it was Howard Duncan who told me how to get to this area and he seemed sure that the Roysden's lived under that rockhouse after their cabin burned. He told me this just before he retired as a BSF ranger. He also claimed there should be spring nearby. I wonder if the chimney rock pile you found hiking down that old road was the Roysden's original cabin site?
@@kerrywoolbright5716, Ive already mapped out that bluff line section on the right and I found it to be more interesting than the section you explored yesterday. I can't wait to show it to you and Randy.
Super cool! Caprock looks amazing! I was hiking down around Laurel Fork Creek Trail last month and noticed several, what I guess were maybe old chimney ruins down thru there. They were in a low, more level area and spaced pretty evenly apart. Wondering if you might know what had been there? I thought maybe logging camp but wasnt sure.
Excellent video Kerry! Cap Rock looks like ancient tech the ancients used. Could or probably Spiritual energy center. Those rock houses are everywhere here as well up in our woods NYC, NY, NJ, etc., which are connected to your woods. I Love it all. So much to learn thats been hidden from us. Look into Tartaria. PS. Have you ever visited Kerry!? Mucho Blessings
Another awesome video of your adventure.
Great video Kerry. Great day as well.

@@kerrywoolbright5716 It always does!
Beautiful place!
TH-cam didn't notify me of this one. I believe you fellers have started your own hiking club. Another great day in the BSF!
For awhile we had an army.
Beautiful

Had walked by it numerous times and never took detour to cap rock. Well worth it.

That's what we discussed. There was indeed a spring under a rock house near by. Now we want to go right and walk the bluff line the other direction.

@@gungaho you can see a prominent bluff to right as u start down the old road.

Several home sites at end of the creek. One is right on the old road.
Maybe from a Geological up loft cause the river to Shift and it once ran through there. My best guess
