The augmentations in the visual field are quite impressive and subtle. One of them is like an invisible thought that seems to suggest the head as a container of "me" along with a suggestion that the thought itself is in front of the visual experience. Attention can dilate between this overlay thought and the visual field suggesting a here/there. Things opened up more once augmentations like this were seen. Still not all the way there, though. At some point I started seeing the mapping overlays directly during meditation or before bed. The eyes are closed, but then it's like you can see through your eyelids. Not clear at all - it's all blacks and dark purples - but the mapping for the room is there. Can even turn my head or put my hands in front of my face and see very rough visual approximations. Something to do with "hippocampal maps".
We're all seeing this all the time relatively speaking but, we're pushing it aside, using the visual may be tougher because of the conditioning associated with that sense...... A good one to try is the physical body sense, closed eyes, direct awareness onto where you feel your limit is but then push it out to your apparent surroundings, then further, surrender, nothingness, we are limitless, the universe hums a response to feeling and hearing herself 🕉️♥️
Yeah, this^^ I remember one of the first of David’s videos he said that the visual sense was easy for him to see it in. This was fascinating for me because it was the very last sense I could see it in, precisely for the reason you say. There was so much conditioning tied to the visual sense, so many triggers back into the head, back into identification with thought. For me it was just like the body sense slowly swallowed up everything else, eventually to include the visual sense.
hey Angelo's mentioned a few times not to get lost in the absolute? He's said he isn't sure what will happen, but it's written in a lot of texts not to do that. Is that something that's easy to fall into or recognize? I kind of thought awareness would guide us to the place it wants to be idk
I think I know what he means because that's what happened to me for a while after awakening. It's like the dissociative tendency I talk about where we contextualise the totality of the sense experience into a container called awareness or something like that. It's the "Total" quality of nonduality as "oneness" or "one mind". There is a strong view in that. And as that view, what we are is "not what's viewed". If that makes sense.
@@gipsymoth1574 I think so. But it's also deeply tied into emotions and avoidance, life and death, existence and nonexistence. So the tendency to "remain" there is deep.
It's a tricky thing to talk about because "awareness" points to some quality about everything, but it also gets reified in a subtle way as everything or a quality 😂
What is it that's separate Are there two here Where does the sensation start and end in relation to the sensing or awareness of that .... There is no distinct boundary.
You are a treasure my friend and brother and Self
❤❤❤
Brilliant, love your videos like this. ❤
Gratitude 🙏
'David' - just awesome, keep it tantric... x🙏💚
Well put!

Thanks David. Enjoy the regular posts.
Thanks, so well said. I get the taste of what’s here without appearance and as appearance.

@difficult_to_describe kind of! is that view residual ego mind trying to frame?

@difficult_to_describe that's really interesting, thank you! I guess I'll find out 😂
i was going to say to you before even this video is thier something beyond awareness like a super awareness or a nothingness

I believe in solipsism. I even made a song about it: th-cam.com/video/RX5vK20oO3s/w-d-xo.html
I love it 😍
