Still stuck on Arm for some reason. SUGGESTIONS = An official sapper unit, increase FP of all llt's by 12.365%, (try to convince yourself TA Kingdoms never happened), Optional team setting for unified teams with partial cross unit control and shared resources, SF6 style end game flash screen for Gen z, Monthly pro tournaments with buy-ins not to exceed $10USD, make BW the official B.A.R. caster, AND make your complete unit comparison chart a .pdf we can dl. PS: Not bad for someone with 0 hrs in so far. 😏
Hey BrightWorks, took a little break from BAR since i play a lot of stuff, but decided to watch another of your castings. Really enjoyed this one. Legion is awesome and having the legion devs play them was great to watch! Great casting as always BrightWorks! Stay awesome bud!
Oh... neat, the latest update (this vid was recorded before the update) killed the best thing about the Legion commander. The level-up mechanic, and the ability to create a swarm of temporary units with the Legion D-Gun were what made them unique, and actually strong in the late game. It used to be weak early game, strong late game. Now it's weak early game, standard late game.
I love the "robotic zerg" vibe the legion faction has...I didn't even realize there was a third faction, so cool! Too late to go in reverse, but it'd been epic if all their units were designed around robotic mech versions of insect and animals; a mechanical version of zerg. Imagine fast moving swarms of melee army ants, scorpions with a tail laser and twin mini guns for claws, jumping spiders with a body mounted cannon and rechargable silk net ability webbing units in place temporarily unable to move, beetles with caustic spray acid weaponry weakening armor where unit takes extra damage, high tier units with nano infection where nanobot parasites eat the enemy slowly from inside then burst out upon it's death to terrorize other units, falcon like air units capable of air to air and a power dive ability hitting a ground unit a a bird of prey would, etc etc. Man I wish I was part of the design tem lol...looking cool guys can't wait to see this one finished More bugs as bots please!!
the categories might be a lot less arbitrary than that sounds it might be based on which category of netcode the game mode would have to run on: an 8v8 is one heck of a different animal from a 4v4 which is also considerably different from 8 players on the same team doing something co-op despite having the same playercount.
Ahh that's a really good point. I'd say from a gameplay perspective too they're entirely different because of the extra several thousand metal per teammate as the team size goes up
The only qualm I have about Legion air are the Legion Dragons (the flying fortresses) being kinda flawed/impractical design-wise. The plasma turret should be on its belly instead of being on top. Right now it still feels like a repurposed sea unit. Everything else is wonderful though. Especially Phoenixes.
I would like to see the cannon changed to either an underside railgun or cluster plasma to fit the legion theme. The railgun would let it be a unit for fighting T3 and other high value targets while the cluster plasma would instead let it fill a similar role to the Dragon Getting a new model is a given at this point so i see no need to ask for one XD
Im really curious what legion naval will be like, its the only thing that we have absolutely no legion stuff for as even the shore launcher and torp bombers are cortex stand ins.
I played my first game with legion last night, and I had an absolute blast with it. I had all of the experimental and other units turned on as well. Even against spots that got pretty Epic.
@@justanothercomment416 yeah but its important to remember when youre facing off against hovertanks with regular tanks and your comparing the size of both armies.
One point I'll give to hovertanks favor is that their constructors can take advantage of naval and terrestrial reclaim. I could imagine stealing metal from wrecks and sending it to your sea player or making tanks to help them would certainly be one way to get some superb value
@@atrtsh Are you one of the devs? A shame about the Legion commander, honestly. I love the old one more. Sure, the lack of stealth and d-gun makes him underperform in the later stages but going toe-to-toe with some experimentals is fun. Instead of turning him into the same ye olde commander I would have tried playing with the upgrades more. Like how all commanders have what? +5 HP regen a sec? I'd start by buffing the legion comm with something like: Level 2: +10 additional HP regen Level 3: +10 HP regen Level 4: +25 HP regen (making it +50 HP regen at this point) Or differently, I'd give him more/other upgrades on top, say: Level 2: regen + 25 additional build power Level 3: regen +slight boost to his movement speed Level 4: regen +another 25 build power (now he is tankier AND a better support unit) Or at one level he could be given more building options so he would need to rely on other constructors less.
@@craftyyoungster4528 I am, and the problem with that is it is too different to all other commanders. Now if they all levelled up, that would be different, but it's easier to go downhill than up.
What's the typical way to smoothly transition into a seaplane factory at a tier 1.5 time frame, considering most standard constructors cannot make one?
The most obvious time would be right after winning a naval contest but I've seen players do it essentially the same as a T2 transition on maps like supreme isthmus in the pond and get seaplane bombers out ridiculously quick
Legion now has a riot cannon instead of a minigun? does anyone no where to see all the legion stats like you can see the normal faction stats in the official website?
@zephyrskies does that mean no more leveling up? I actually quite enjoyed using legion commander to help suppress T1 and T2 spam with dakka and shoulder mounted railguns

Thanks a ton mate, glad to hear you enjoy. One of the reasons I'm so happy to do these casts is so folks can enjoy the game even if they can't play :)

It's a funny area as in theory yes, but then they're not player visible from overhead camera

Why do Armada and Cortex seem so similar but Legion has so many unique units? Would love to see more distinction between Armada and Cortex

Hovertanks are actually better in every way then medium tanks if you dont consider the cost
Given it's a game of economies, it can't be ignored.

Halberds are OP, convince me otherwise. 4300 HP for a tier 1 unit?!
ofc the game we lost gets coverage :D if u saw the hover games i played u whuld give Legion a d gun quick :D
I have given Legion dgun now
Haha death by Halberd that was a funny game
Was an awesome match though. And all other games afterwards weren´t in our favor, so really glad this one got covered. :D thanks for the games! :)

5v5 - 8v8 is large team now if i get it right.

The faction isn't ready yet and it constantly changes. It will be up on the site once it's ready.
they have both i'm pretty sure
Its not finished yet.
And also the Legion commander is the same as the other commanders. This game took place a day or so before those changes went live!
