Visually, i love having your characters portrait on the main sheet. Overall, it looks like it might be a little more scrolling/tabbing than the current setup.
Looks good, especially in Dark Mode. I think I'm fine with using the check boxes for features/abilities. I like the built in Rage button that adds the damage automatically. Hopefully something similar is in there for Rogues' Sneak Attack.
Automatic advantage/disadvantage is interesting, though, there's so many niche ways of gaining it ( weapon mastery procs, attacking prone within 5ft, ranged within 5 ft, prone but not within 5ft.) Hahah, i imagine we'll still default to always roll, take the left.
I hate that default, I rather default to just rolling one number, then roll again if we realize adv/disadv. Hopefully automatic can alleviate most situations, but yeah there will always be some need to toggle manually I imagine.
While the new sheet looks nice, it takes up a lot of real estate due to the spacing and font sizes. Lots of scrolling required and for many of my players with smaller screens I can see it being an issue already. Tested it on my smaller laptop and it really takes up the VTT to a meaningful portion of the sheet at once.
I had quite a bit of trouble with the preview sheets because i couldn't see the "choose" option or didn't see that the choices were on the side. Honestly i kinda hate the UI. I don't know whether it's better or worse than the current sheets but i just know it's annoying.
yea i dont like it either, its too big, too spread out, the current sheet is perfect, everything is right there on 2 tabs main and spell. while i love the detail and the the thoughtfullness of it, i probably will not use it in my games.
Roll20 actually paid for this to be shown off? This should still be in Alpha, not a public Beta. No Point buy. Poor UX / layout requiring so much scrolling and clicking to get handle previously basic tasks. Combat, Feats, Inventory all now in same place means even more clicking (though at least spells are on front page.) I just feel this was poorly designed and needs a big overhaul.

True, portrait is a nice touch!

The check boxes seem easy to miss, but maybe I'm not used to it yet.

That's a good point! Here I am on my ultrawide, one of three monitors I have hooked up....
