Gosh this helps so much! I'm a bio major and have always felt confident in my biology knowledge, but was completely taken aback my performance in b/b after my first FL. I think my main issue stems from passage comprehension and understanding which information is relevant. I paused the video after your guided flow-chart and analysis and attempted all the questions myself, and after playing the video again, was pleased to see I got every question right! I'm definitely going to be using this method in the future for practice.
Also, for the last question, the passage said the receptors FACILITATE binding. So, the neutrophils can still bind to the endothelium without the receptors; the receptors just facilitate the process.
Thanks for the video!! In regards of question 2,it states that "most strongly suggests the FUNCTION" of the beta subunit, so basically we can eliminate choice C as its not the function of the Beta subunit to non-covalently bind to the alpha subunit.
Thanks for the video. I have been using the flow chart per your recommendation, which helped me understanding the passage. But I am having issues still choosing an incorrect answer among the answer choices. Feels devastated.
Yes I know that can be disheartening, but if you're beginning to understand the passage better then you're absolutely on your way to getting more questions correct! Just be patient with it because improving on the MCAT is like pouring concrete. You have to pour it and let it sit for a minute before you can actually walk on it. Meaning, once you learn the strategy, it's going to take a few weeks worth of practice and refinement before you really perfect the strategy and then see questions as simply as Maggie and I do! However, make sure to check out Maggie's video about Simplifying the Question Stem because it truly is the ultimate strategy for helping out your struggle: th-cam.com/video/zzRvMX4hN7Q/w-d-xo.html
