    I don't know Nili, of course, but I do know that a large majority of people would feel uncomfortable and stressed out if there was a whole bunch of people in a chat flaming them whenever they play. I wouldn't rule out that being a direct influence in him not playing in this match.
    Viper, you don't help the situation by publicly mocking him yourself. I know it's playful teasing, but you're enabling a lot of people to jump in a toxic bandwagon.

    • @matthewmcneany
      @matthewmcneany 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Asking what to do isn't always because you're less confident or don't know what you think you should do, it helps team dynamics to have a decisive captain who has an overview of what's going on - usually pocket but not always, this is especially true if one or more players involved don't have carto or if there's a mismatch like in Game 1 where MbL moved out to try to 3v2 Viper and DauT.

    I dont get how aM is in my eyes #2 in the world and Hera is #2 in solo but they are struggling hard against secret. They are total beasts against everyone else but they turn into sheeps facing secret.

    • @Taeerom
      @Taeerom 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As both individual players and as a team, they are really strong mechanically, but htey lack the tactical and strategic refinement and creativity other teams have. Hera is really strong, but seems kinda locked to the meta. And both Lierry and Mbl seems a bit too inconsistent to really be considered at or near the top.
      As teams, Soumi at least is probably better than aM. And I'm not so sure about Hera actually being number 2 1v1, Yo and TaToH are also really good. While not as clean and crisp as Hera, they are much more creative and are often able to throw curveballs that Hera is incapable of.
      When Viper said "we played like aM" after the loss against China in R2, it wasn't meant insultingly. It meant that they played well and clean, but they didn't think strategically. They just did the obvious thing well, while China had a really good strat planned. Secret had no chance in that game. And that's the problem wiht both Hera as a player 1v1 (even though he is mechanically good enough to get away with it often), and in team games when that kind of playstyle is punished way more.
      Secret is a really well put together team. While Viper is the best player by a significant margin, he is not alone in the team. TaToH is one of the more creative players around, and both Nili and Daut has an insane amount of experience in the game (even though Nili lacks some speed and mechanical skill). With the cool heads of Viper and Slam, they are able to keep all of this together to absolutely body a team like aM. A team with 3 of the best players, mechanically, but lacks both the experience and creativity of Suomi, China, and Secret.
      aM probably need a player like TheMax, TaToH, or Yo (even a player that is not good enough to play serious tournies, but as a training partner/coach) to step up a level in team games. Right now, they look like a "forever second best" kind of team.

      Er steht halt massiv unter Druck, er ist aktuell noch kein so guter Spieler wie die anderen im Team Secret, wurde aber ins Team geholt weil er Potential hat und lernwillig ist. Er muss sich beweisen und wirklich deutlich besser werden, was man aber nicht innerhalb von wenigen Wochen erwarten kann. Solche kleine Events sind die perfekten Gelegenheiten für ihn wertvolle Tuniererfahrung zu sammeln.
      Er ist ein guter Spieler, gut sein reicht aber nicht wenn man mit den großen Jungs spielen will. Er muss besser werden, er weiß das auch und die halbe AoE Community schaut ihm dabei zu, wie er sich im Team schlägt . Das würde jeden zu schaffen machen, er ist auch nur ein Mensch.
      Ich sehe aber keinesweges die Schuld im Team für die fehlende Perfomance. Er muss auf das Level des Teams kommen, nicht anders rum. Es hilft halt auch nicht dabei wenn er noch andere Sachen nebenbei laufen hat wie z.b das kommende Red Bull Wololo Tunier.
