Origin of the name
Bang Saen Beach gets its name from a local legend about the love of a young man named "Saen" and a young woman named "Sam Muk". Legend has it that the two were in love with each other. but was separated from the family with regret The couple decided to jump to their deaths at the cliff of Khao Sam Muk.
Later, villagers named various places in the area to commemorate the couple as follows:
Khao Sam Muk is named after a young woman.
Bang Saen Beach is named after a young man.
Chao Por Saen Shrine Located on Khao Sam Muk
Chao Mae Sam Muk Shrine Located along Bangsaen Beach.
Development into a tourist attraction
