@ 1:39:00 I think the issue The Elon Musk is trying to say, is that he needs the people *NOW*. When he says that we need to teach new people we've already lost, he's talking about the present. I agree that he or other people in general need to help with education. The problem though, is that he needs 30,000 skilled technicians right at this moment. When he's saying the pool is critically too low. So even if we do need to fix education, that'll only fix stuff In the next decade with new graduates.
Yes but taking his solution perpetuates a lack of those people in the future, as you degrade the wages and reduce available jobs, making those career paths impossible or at least not optimal to pursue. And that's ignoring how companies get addicted to mediocre workers that work for a 4th the wage of a native
@Nakon-nm5wi I don't think you're fully getting it though. He needs them now. He thinks that if we don't start colonizing soon that there could be a species ending catastrophe. If you read between the lines of some of the stuff he said he's basically saying that. Despite him being a memer and all that, he seems to really think that If we don't start space travel soon enough we'll be doomed. So to him, while America is the best country in the world, he's even said so. He doesn't have the time to stop for a decade. Which is probably why he was saying we've already lost if we have to worry about education. Because he needs the people now. What he's doing isn't a solution to the problem? It's just getting what he needs to do what he needs to do. He never claimed that bringing the people in is going to solve the problem. He's not even saying that fixing education isn't the solution. Just that in his case it's a moot point. So while I disagree with him on wanting to loosen up the visas, I understand totally where he's coming from. For him, it's too late and they just need the people now. That's why I don't understand all the hate? He's not claiming that he's going to solve the problem, he's just saying he needs people.
@@cymes82 Tipping is generally about the intersection of a fun, social experience with the people who work to make that social experience possible. That said, like most form of enforced charity (in this case, socially forced rather than legally, like when the government gives your tax dollars away) it kind of misses the point.
What isn't capitalistic about spending less money in exchange for less control? And from the other side, it's pretty much the definition of capitalism, with the capital in question the housing and (optionally) the land that housing sits on. I honestly don't know what you think 'capitalism' means.
Attitude is what matters Being vindictive & forcing unofficial service fee toward your customer is what make you a weasel Unfortunately, its american attitude
HOAs are awesome, there how you have a nice neighborhood... if you actually participate in your community and go to the effing HOA meetings. The HOA can only be oppressive because people are too busy "just grilling bro" rather than participating in their community. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance. The problem is never the politicians or HOAs, the problem is ALWAYS the voters being lazy and unattentive to their duties as a citizen.

All that's going to happen is thousands of spies will be imported. Don't forget; South Africa was destroyed by immigration.
Hi
Hello.

Tipping is socialist nonsense. It's not capitalistic in any way. Same with renting.
I only tip Vtubers, since it's more often than not their only source of income.
I agree that tipping for paid services is kinda cringe.
Attitude is what matters
Being vindictive & forcing unofficial service fee toward your customer is what make you a weasel
Unfortunately, its american attitude

HOAs are awesome, there how you have a nice neighborhood... if you actually participate in your community and go to the effing HOA meetings. The HOA can only be oppressive because people are too busy "just grilling bro" rather than participating in their community. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance. The problem is never the politicians or HOAs, the problem is ALWAYS the voters being lazy and unattentive to their duties as a citizen.
Democracy is always a benefit for lazy people.
Can you ever expect the masses to be attentive or have a sense of duty?
