"Whereabouts of the Stars" is the most correct translation of the original japanese title (Hoshi no Arika) while "Whereabouts of the Light" was the official translation of the title in the english version of the game. So yeah, both are actually correct. And great job! I'm surprised of how similar it sounded to the original music. Really loved it!
Rednell The tone was simple to replicate as the og harmonica tune was likely played with a similar chromatic harmonica, or tremolo harp in standard key. The biggest pain was keeping the feel and pace as I have a horrible sense of timing and rhythm without the backing track. ^^' Thanks for the feedback!
@@ezzong I feel like "The Whereabouts of Light" is more appropriate in context. The stars offer little in the way of light, and Estelle shines like the sun.
Im trying to learn harmonica just for this song xDD Does a 10 hole work or should it be 24 hole…? Chromatic I think I’ll only get if I can get good enough, so just looking at diatonic for now
If you're playing on PC you can get Cold Steel on steam. Basically any modern laptop can run it. If you have a switch the Japanese version will be released on switch, and I assume the english translation might soon follow. Just a heads up. Though I recommend playing crossbell first.
@@RaifSeverence I actually saw a copy of Cold steel 1 and 2 sitting in some random game store. We don't have gamestop in our country so it was quite the surprise to see such a niche game be on their shelves. Assuming you have a diatonic harmonica, best option is one in Eb or Bb key. Though by technicality all diatonic harps follow the same notation, but in different key. Check out Zolta49's diatonic rendition, it also includes tabs. th-cam.com/video/72s3LcNUt_A/w-d-xo.html
Omygod So um did I buy the wrong harmonica 😂 mine is 24 hole called tremolo something and you know the reason I want to play this. But I guess I had to buy the chromonica 10 holes? 😭 gosh
Chromatic harmonica tabs follow different numbering, since it has a different scale of notes. It's possible to transcribe them to other harmonica models by, for example, comparing note charts, that you can easily find via google search. Personally I dont know much about these kinda things since I write all my tabs by ear and based on my personal preferences, so theyre not always even comparable.
