I want to add this, if you're using an NVIDIA gpu and cant revert Nividia Surround, just restart your pc with only your main monitor plugged in and just plug your other monitor on startup.
@roanegaming do you know how to do Nvidia surround with dual monitors but also have the 3rd monitor to act as a obs, discord chat? Because when I do the surround the 3rd monitor shuts off, and when I go to multiple display to add it, it doesn't give me the option to add the 3rd monitor. Does this only works if I have like 4 monitors?
Simple? It's a good tutorial but this is pretty complicated for what is essentially just stretching the screen (Complaint of the game itself not the video)
G'day GRIMM, if you don't have the multimon file you can do 1 of 2 things, 1.) simply start the game after you have edited the config.cfg file and then close the game and it will autocratically create the multimon file for you and just copy and paste the code I provided in to it or 2.) just create the file yourself and copy and paste the code into it. 🙂
Works great thanks! But if I wanted to go back to default could I just change multimon back to 0 from 4 or would I have to redo all settings back to default
Dope video, just perform this task and it still works. Only thing I had to do was delete the multimon_config file I created because once I opened ATS, ATS created one for me. So I backed up that file, transferred what you recommended for the settings, did what I needed to do with Nvidia and it was all good. For anyone having issues, just take your time and it will work ;)

G'day brighton jones, If for example you saved your backup as configback.cfg then all you would do is delete the edited config.cfg then rename the configback.cfg to config.cfg and it would be restore it to default. 🙂

G'day Rob, I use 27" monitors ?? don't know why you thought they were 20" all you need to do is make sure you have the resolution set correctly in game under "Options" - "Graphics" 🙂
I did pretty much everything in there except when you get to the AMD part. Mine doesn’t says “gaming” it says “create”. If I click that I see the display, I see the “AMD FreeSync” the “GPU SCALING” and so on but I don’t see the “Eyefinity”
@@marcoa.betancourt1469 According to the specs the RX 6600 8GB should have Eyefinity. In the Display settings of Adrenalin it should be at the bottom left of the page.
wow this definitely was a step in the right direction for me but unfortunately I have come across an issue.. For some reason my multimon config file shows that I have 3 monitors instead of 2... (and yes i only have the 2 physical monitors). I have followed your instructions to the letter and I am now confused and cannot figure this out.

I have 2 32" curved monitors and it dont matter what I do I still get the center of my truck, half on right monitor other half on center monitor. Cant get it to driver side window on my left monitor. Same issue If I try a monitor on right side, as pass side window.
G'day Keystone, two things to try, 1 make sure that your multimon file has the same code that I provided in it because sometimes it gets overwritten 2 make sure you adjusted the resolution in game. 🙂

G'day CrzyWolf, It's possible that you are looking in the wrong folder because they should be there, for ATS are you in "Documents" > "American Truck Simulator" ? For ETS2 are you in "Documents" > "Euro Truck Simulator 2"?

B., theoretically anything you add to your pc that renders more graphics will put extra draw on resources however depending on your system you may not notice any difference I know I don't and my system is just pretty basic and I have 3 monitors operating most times, however like I said it really depends on your systems setup. 🙂

One thing to note, my ATS folder did not have a multimon_config.ssi file at all. Not sure if its there by default for others but it did not exist for me, so had to go find one online.

@@damionthomasson6893 If it's pixelated it means you haven't set the resolution in game correctly, go into options and then under Graphics set your resolution.

G'day Nick, the 0 and 1 in the multimon_config have no bearing on what numbers your computer gives your monitors, it is the in game code for the monitors not the computers. 🙂

G'day Cameron, The only thing I can suggest is to change the horizontal_fov_override and maybe the heading_offset on the right monitor until it is what you want, make a copy of your multimon before so if it doesn't work you can go back to the old one. 🙂
G'day Morris, Yes it should work, some people have reported that it is working on their different sized monitors, no guarantees though due to there being so many different monitors with different specs etc. 🙂

G'day, All you need to do is rename your file, so if it's the config.cfg file just rename it to config.bak or just right click on it and press Copy and then paste it back in the same folder and it will be named config-copy.cfg. 🙂

@@royaltydiesel6734 OK open AMD Adrenalin, go to "Display" then down the bottom on the left you will see "AMD Eyefinity" Click "Quick Setup" and it should make your 3 screens into one large screen. with the game all you need to do is go to your config.cfg change uset r_multimon_mode "0" to uset r_multimon_mode "4" but first delete your multimon_config.sii as the game will create one for you. Now start the game and it should be setup for you, if not shut down the game and start it again and it should be fine. When you want to go back to the normal 3 separate screens just go back in to AMD Adrenalin and click on "Discard setup" in "AMD Eyefinity" and it will restore you to normal viewing.

Some of my UI is being cut off, so for instance if i was buying a truck i can see up to the word "customise configuration" then everything is cut off after that, do i need to input a different width?

If you mean you want to have your tablet the same as mine then just download Sim Dashboard: www.stryder-it.de/simdashboard/ and follow the instructions when installing it on your laptop and tablet. 🙂

I can't get mine to stop splitting across both monitors. My multimon config is setup just like yours. I have Nvidia and both of my monitors are different sizes. My menu screen and main game span both monitors. Any ideas?

@@roanegaming I got it to work. I set it back to 4 and I also noticed I transposed some values in the monitor config. I just need to play with FOV settings I believe since the other monitor view is angled back towards the back window too much. Thanks for the reply and the guide, very helpful!
I followed every step, but for some reason the game itself will only go on my right monitor and my left wont work for it. I have a nividia and followed every single little step.

@@roanegaming an RTX 580. It stretched using the amd software, but it would only duplicate on the monitors. i uninstalled the AMD, i will re install it and try again, i found out the cloning was on.. and i couldnt get it off.. so ill check back in later.

@@GamingWithSoulBlast My suggestion first of all would be to save a copy of your current multimon_config.sii somewhere safe, It's not a simple thing to straighten the right screen as it is dependent on your particular setup, screens, resolutions, angle you place your right screen etc. So you will need to just change a setting then start the game check and see how it looks and then rinse and repeat until you find the setting that changes it the way you want it to look. I am sorry I couldn't be more helpful but the settings I came up with took me literally days to get right and work for me with my monitors at the angles I have them at etc.

Hi mate! Is it possible to have only the half screen of the right one visible? Means to limit the width. I played around with PBP on the second screen but that was crashed by nvidia. So if you have a tipp i would apriciate!

The other option would be: the 2nd monitor can do picture by picture. But i guess this will not work unless nvidia is not able to handle different resolutions as it would be 1920x2160 or is there any way to set this up? So i could use the „3rd“ monitor for something else. And btw: is it possible to offset the seat position? I dont mean by F4, really move the centre of view to left or right. Thx alot!
@@seefahrer87 You can do what you want however the black part of the screen will not be able to be used, at least not in my testing and it looks a bit weird (not too bad) what you need to do is change a few lines in the code. First on the first monitor (center) change "horizontal_fov_override: 90.000000" to "horizontal_fov_override: 98.000000" then on the second monitor (right) change "normalized_width: 0.500000" to "normalized_width: 0.250000" and then change "heading_offset: -90.000000" to "heading_offset: -75.000000" and last one, change "horizontal_fov_override: 90.000000" to "horizontal_fov_override: 50.000000" I will have to do a bit of testing to see if it's possible to offset the seat.
I've done all I could, but dealing with NVIDIA makes things a little bit trickier. Even with Surround on, when I fire up ETS2, it sticks to just one monitor, leaving the other one in the dark.

(ETS2) In my Case, on the left side of the Truck the entire Side-Skirt is missing, i can only see the Tires. Do u have an idea (I use Mods but this happend even with a Standart SCS truck)

@roanegaming i did the quick setup on the eyeinfinity. They are both same resolution. My left monitor is just barely smaller than my main one. Im not sure. Not gonna bother you with it sir.
Hello. This is helpful, but apparently, I'm doing something wrong. When I went into the config file, I changed it to "4" as you said, saved and closed. I did not see the sii file until I went into the game and tried to run it, but obviously it didn't run correctly. When I came out, the sii file was there, but it shows that I have 3 monitors, not 2. Does anyone have an idea what I did wrong? Thanks for the help in advance.
@roanegaming hi roane tried that. Didn't work. It just keeps showing the same thing on both screens. They are the same size, but one has a higher resolution, could that be the problem?
@@roanegaming yes, but I'm not sure which one to use. the monitor with the higher rez actually splits the screen in half for some reason. I'll just keep trying from time to time to keep my anxiety down lol.

G'day Rob, I use 27" monitors ?? don't know why you thought they were 20" all you need to do is make sure you have the resolution set correctly in game under "Options" - "Graphics" 🙂
I did pretty much everything in there except when you get to the AMD part. Mine doesn’t says “gaming” it says “create”. If I click that I see the display, I see the “AMD FreeSync” the “GPU SCALING” and so on but I don’t see the “Eyefinity”

wow this definitely was a step in the right direction for me but unfortunately I have come across an issue.. For some reason my multimon config file shows that I have 3 monitors instead of 2... (and yes i only have the 2 physical monitors). I have followed your instructions to the letter and I am now confused and cannot figure this out.

I have 2 32" curved monitors and it dont matter what I do I still get the center of my truck, half on right monitor other half on center monitor. Cant get it to driver side window on my left monitor. Same issue If I try a monitor on right side, as pass side window.
G'day Keystone, two things to try, 1 make sure that your multimon file has the same code that I provided in it because sometimes it gets overwritten 2 make sure you adjusted the resolution in game. 🙂

B., theoretically anything you add to your pc that renders more graphics will put extra draw on resources however depending on your system you may not notice any difference I know I don't and my system is just pretty basic and I have 3 monitors operating most times, however like I said it really depends on your systems setup. 🙂

One thing to note, my ATS folder did not have a multimon_config.ssi file at all. Not sure if its there by default for others but it did not exist for me, so had to go find one online.

Go into the config file and make sure that uset r_multimon_mode "0" is changed to uset r_multimon_mode "4" then save and close it,.
Then go to multimon_config.sii and delete the code that is in it and paste the code from this video th-cam.com/video/oU3wAFgyaxA/w-d-xo.html in it's place.
Now Start the game

@@damionthomasson6893 If it's pixelated it means you haven't set the resolution in game correctly, go into options and then under Graphics set your resolution.

G'day Nick, the 0 and 1 in the multimon_config have no bearing on what numbers your computer gives your monitors, it is the in game code for the monitors not the computers. 🙂

G'day Cameron, The only thing I can suggest is to change the horizontal_fov_override and maybe the heading_offset on the right monitor until it is what you want, make a copy of your multimon before so if it doesn't work you can go back to the old one. 🙂

G'day Morris, Yes it should work, some people have reported that it is working on their different sized monitors, no guarantees though due to there being so many different monitors with different specs etc. 🙂

G'day, All you need to do is rename your file, so if it's the config.cfg file just rename it to config.bak or just right click on it and press Copy and then paste it back in the same folder and it will be named config-copy.cfg. 🙂

G'day Fat Kozel, if you don't have one, there are a couple of ways to get one, 1.) just create a file and call it multimon_config.sii and paste the code I provided or 2.) start the game after editing the config.cfg file and then close it down and the game should make the file for you then all you need to do is delete what is in it and paste the code I provided in it instead. 🙂

@@royaltydiesel6734 OK open AMD Adrenalin, go to "Display" then down the bottom on the left you will see "AMD Eyefinity" Click "Quick Setup" and it should make your 3 screens into one large screen. with the game all you need to do is go to your config.cfg change uset r_multimon_mode "0" to uset r_multimon_mode "4" but first delete your multimon_config.sii as the game will create one for you. Now start the game and it should be setup for you, if not shut down the game and start it again and it should be fine.
When you want to go back to the normal 3 separate screens just go back in to AMD Adrenalin and click on "Discard setup" in "AMD Eyefinity" and it will restore you to normal viewing.

G'day Connor, it sounds like you might be looking in the profile config.cfg not the game config.cfg, depending on which game you are doing this to it will be located in \Documents\American Truck Simulator or \Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2
So when you use, lets say 3 monitors it will look like

monitors[1]: _nameless.1cd.df52.c800

@arifhussain9676 I'm not sure I understand what you want, to setup your monitors like mine you just need to follow the instructions in my Video above. If you mean you want to have your tablet the same as mine then just download Sim Dashboard: www.stryder-it.de/simdashboard/ and follow the instructions when installing it on your laptop and tablet. 🙂

I can't get mine to stop splitting across both monitors. My multimon config is setup just like yours. I have Nvidia and both of my monitors are different sizes. My menu screen and main game span both monitors. Any ideas?

@@roanegaming an RTX 580. It stretched using the amd software, but it would only duplicate on the monitors. i uninstalled the AMD, i will re install it and try again, i found out the cloning was on.. and i couldnt get it off.. so ill check back in later.
@@941performance Make sure Freesync is turned off in Radeon and enable Virtual super resolution on both monitors in Radeon

@@GamingWithSoulBlast My suggestion first of all would be to save a copy of your current multimon_config.sii somewhere safe, It's not a simple thing to straighten the right screen as it is dependent on your particular setup, screens, resolutions, angle you place your right screen etc. So you will need to just change a setting then start the game check and see how it looks and then rinse and repeat until you find the setting that changes it the way you want it to look. I am sorry I couldn't be more helpful but the settings I came up with took me literally days to get right and work for me with my monitors at the angles I have them at etc.

Well, I have 2 4k monitors but only like to use half of the second screen. Means 5760x2160 and leave the far right black. Is this possible?
The other option would be: the 2nd monitor can do picture by picture. But i guess this will not work unless nvidia is not able to handle different resolutions as it would be 1920x2160 or is there any way to set this up? So i could use the „3rd“ monitor for something else.
And btw: is it possible to offset the seat position? I dont mean by F4, really move the centre of view to left or right.

@@seefahrer87 You can do what you want however the black part of the screen will not be able to be used, at least not in my testing and it looks a bit weird (not too bad) what you need to do is change a few lines in the code. First on the first monitor (center) change "horizontal_fov_override: 90.000000" to "horizontal_fov_override: 98.000000" then on the second monitor (right) change "normalized_width: 0.500000" to "normalized_width: 0.250000" and then change "heading_offset: -90.000000" to "heading_offset: -75.000000" and last one, change "horizontal_fov_override: 90.000000" to "horizontal_fov_override: 50.000000"
I will have to do a bit of testing to see if it's possible to offset the seat.

I've done all I could, but dealing with NVIDIA makes things a little bit trickier. Even with Surround on, when I fire up ETS2, it sticks to just one monitor, leaving the other one in the dark.

i have tried several times to get the multimon fage and it is not showing and i dont know what to do anymore its all failing

@@roanegaming the price of monitor is similar if compared with oculus quest. But of course i dont know but is good if you have a good gpu to play this in vr

@roanegaming i did the quick setup on the eyeinfinity. They are both same resolution. My left monitor is just barely smaller than my main one. Im not sure. Not gonna bother you with it sir.

Hello. This is helpful, but apparently, I'm doing something wrong. When I went into the config file, I changed it to "4" as you said, saved and closed. I did not see the sii file until I went into the game and tried to run it, but obviously it didn't run correctly. When I came out, the sii file was there, but it shows that I have 3 monitors, not 2. Does anyone have an idea what I did wrong? Thanks for the help in advance.

@roanegaming hi roane tried that. Didn't work. It just keeps showing the same thing on both screens. They are the same size, but one has a higher resolution, could that be the problem?

@@roanegaming yes, but I'm not sure which one to use. the monitor with the higher rez actually splits the screen in half for some reason. I'll just keep trying from time to time to keep my anxiety down lol.

G'day Jason, You can just create a file and name it multimon_config.sii and then paste the code in it or after you edit the config.cfg file, launch the game then exit the game go back to game folder u will see the multimom file.
The instructions are in the description if you need them.

So I got it to work once then now when I click quick setup in amd then go back to the game it shows up 2 ats screens.
I get an error that says your display resolution has changed and eyefinity setup could not be completed
I cant edit the file

G'day Chris, I can't guarantee it will work because there are so many different types of monitors etc but people have reported that they have used two different resolutions and two different sized monitors and it works for them, so the best I can say is try it and see. 🙂
