Sara, you can wipe your glasses with a light coating of mineral oil. Then you can break the glass and easily get the soap out. I do that for my coffee cup soaps!
Hey Sheila. I never heard of this trick. Does it work for plastic cups too? I usually cut it out.
Yes it can. You’ll still have to cut down to the soap but once you get there it’s easier to get out!

Sarah, thank you for giving me the courage to make my first two bars of melt and pour ast night! I made rose with geranium and colored it soft pink from the white base, I had. Like strawberry milk. My friends wanted one bar so I cut it in half for them. I did drop my glass thermometer and bust it while I was barefoot in the kitchen and I microwaved it but will use the double boiler from now on as it got tacky and I could not get to the microwave, cause of glass all over the floor so I poure it thick.
