    Instead of trimming my air freshies, I wait a few minutes after removing them from the oven then I take a small to medium sponge dabber and use the wood handle to gently pat down all those spikes I also gently use the sponge part… dabbing down to get those spikes or uneven pieces. Also! I tested using my heat gun… just reheat the top of your spiky freshies and use the sponge dabber to move those spikes down! No need for cutting with scissors!🥰

    Love these! I'm all about the glitter with tumblers and iron on vinyl. Can't wait to try this with my freshies too! I do have one question: How do you clean your silicone molds so there is no leftover glitter or mica power for the next use? I bought the same circle silicone molds you have from one of your previous videos. :) Thank you for making these videos for all of us to see.

    • @CreativelyErica
      @CreativelyErica  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same! If it's just a little glitter, you can stick some tape to it to pull it out. If there's mica on mine, I'll just wash the mold with warm soapy water or some rubbing alcohol works too. Thanks so much for watching & the support 🥰

    Hi!! Does the freshie lose scent when drying the puffy paint over night?

  • @paulabaugh5027
    @paulabaugh5027 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    When you bring it out of the oven , use a spatula around the edges as close as you can get , go all the way around the shape of the mold and lightly press down . It'll push those ridges down and you won't have to trim with scissors it makes it level

    SO cute! I love the tip of using puffy paint for the glitter. And the holographic fine on the bottom of the smiley face is stunning! I always mixed mine into the beads but now I need to try it this way! 😊

  • @mistytodd935
    @mistytodd935 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Love these!!! I have a question also, how do you keep the puffy paint from sticking to the inside of the packaging and then peeling off the freshie? I had several painted so cute and I packaged them but when removing them from the packaging, the paint stuck and peeled right off.

    • @CreativelyErica
      @CreativelyErica  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I just make sure it's really dry and cured before putting in the bags. That's all you can really do. I have noticed the thicker you paint it, the easier it is to mess up. So thin layers if possible would be my biggest tip. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

    • @mistytodd935
      @mistytodd935 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’ve noticed on the silicone molds that have raised images or words, if I put any puffy paint at all on those, it’s a goner as soon as someone pulls it from the bag. So I’ve ordered a ton of molds that the images and words are set inside as oppose to protruding.. if that makes any sense lol. I figured if the paint can’t touch the plastic then it can’t peel off. By the way, I just want to say thanks for all you do! You are a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate it so much!

    Hey, Erica!!!! I gots a question!! I need help with the sublimation air fresheners.. How do I know how much fragrance oil to use and do I need a carrier for the fragrance oil?

    • @CreativelyErica
      @CreativelyErica  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey 👋 I've had a hard time with those to be honest. I've heard so many different things. I've tried pouring 1 tsp on the fresheners and sometimes they'd leave oily spots on the design and they felt really oily. I've also tried pouring the fragrance oil into a small spray bottle and spritzing the fresheners several times but I always felt like they were weak and didn't really absorb the oil that well. But never used a carrier with all the different ways I've tried. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, couldn't get a hang of those so gave up on those lol.

    What is the size of your round mold?

  • @m1kalaps759
    @m1kalaps759 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey, great vid. Love the happy face freshie. I tried one out with glitter and for some reason the glitter didnt stick to the freshie on the inside of the mold... and what did stick looks choppy.. did i add too much glitter maybe? Are you suppose to just put a dusting in the mold or....
    The top however with my chunkier glitter came out perfect.
    What am i doing wrong? 😕

    • @CreativelyErica
      @CreativelyErica  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Hmmm that's weird, might be too much (I do a small amount and kinda shake around to evenly distribute it) or maybe the type of glitter. I have noticed the glitter does better on the silicone molds that are glossy on the inside.

    These are great! The extra fine glitter works great inside the silicone molds, and I like the puffy paint as a base for the glitter on your cactus. Decorating is the most fun part of making freshies.😊💜

    Do you have a suggestion on what brand aroma beads to use? I’ve tried 3 different ones and they all melt in my car (deform) !! I live in ga and the heat is pretty bad!! I’ve even bought a sunshade and it doesn’t help . So that makes me think it has to be the beads!! Let me know what you think!!! I TRUST your opinion as you have been my motivation to start my own business !!

    Hi Erica,
    I enjoyed your video, thank you for posting!!
    3 questions
    1. Is there anyway to get both sides of the freshie smooth? -like adding parchment paper to the top maybe?
    2. I know the trend is Large freshies. Is a smaller size still effective? I want to make some for my family and I to use, but we are all in agreement the normal ones are bigger than we are comfy with. Im wondering if they are that large out of necessity, or if the size is for aesthetic appeal.
    3. Can decorative elements be glued to freshies, or does the oil in the beads impede the decorations sticking to the beads?

    Hi!! First of thank you so very much for your videos. They are so helpful. My question is how long can I store beads in the jar after the aroma has been added in? Thanks again!!

    Love your videos!!! I’m new to Freshies and am just waiting for my supplies to get here! Where did you get the round mold you used. Also does leaving them to dry overnight for the puffy paint affect the scent strength? Oh and do you use puffy paint or fabric paint? I’ve seen both at the craft stores. Thanks so much and keep the great videos coming!

      A little might fall off (that's why I tap on them to make the loose glitter fall off after demolding them) but for the most part it's baked in the beads and sticks.
