      I’ve had two and my tits are completely lopsided. Saggy. Massive. I am covered in purple stretch mark scars. C section scars. My entire body is 100% different. Just because a super thin woman had babies and stayed thin doesn’t mean you should expect your pregnancy to be that way lol. Sorry but its not realistic

    • @SarahbearJayne
      @SarahbearJayne ปีที่แล้ว +17

      You have to have good genetics to not get stretch marks/breast problems. And you have to work VERY hard to stay in shape during the pregnancy, women only need apparently 300 more calories a day during pregnancy ONLY in the third trimester, which good luck with that. You have to workout every day and work very hard after the birth as well. And developing the energy or drive to do so while pregnant is extremely difficult.

    i think what a lot of people don't understand about depression is that yes, it can be helped by changing your lifestyle, but some people are suffering so deeply they need to be medicated in order to even get themselves to a point where changing their lifestyle is a possibility.

    • @calvinlee8103
      @calvinlee8103 ปีที่แล้ว

      The alpha clowns don't understand that being very sad due to something bad in your life is not depression. Depression is a chemical imbalance in your brain. It can't be fixed by bettering your life. Sadness can, but not depression. A chemical imbalance is fixed by taking medication that balances those chemicals; not by getting a six pack. They simply don't understand what depression is, and think it just means very very sad, because they are very very dumb.

    As a male who lifts and does powerlifting, I found comfort in the gym it was my life it cured my depression UNTIL I got injured and I had to stop and I completely gave up on myself. The gym is a crutch to lean on and it helps but leaning on it too much and then having it stripped from you can send you into a downward spiral. He says when he is not active he feels depressed and could be because I feel the gym is a nice form of meditation and grounding yourself because you have to focus on the body and in that moment free your mind of any troubling thoughts. you’re absolutely right that it alone is a bandaid! the long term solution is going to be multifaceted. exercise, therapy (or more generally just improving the way you think and your thought processes), diet (eat good, feel good), possibly medications (antidepressants or fixing an issue that can cause depression eg thyroid problems) or supplements (deficiencies can also cause depression), lifestyle changes (work, who you surround yourself with, hobbies) and SO much more.

    Going on antidepressants was the worst time of my life. It literally made me have awful breakdowns. Like crying, rocking, incoherent for nearly an hour each time I had to take them for the first few days. And the journey to even get to that point was so long, it didn’t seem worth it until it started working. I was fragile for a long time afterwards still, but it gave me the baseline to fix what was wrong inside myself. I’ll probably be on them for the rest of my life and I’ve accepted that. At first, I felt weak for needing something more to function at 50% of what normal people function by themselves, but I realize now that it just gives me the ability to be on a level playing field with people who can just live and make serotonin themselves. I’m at a point now where I feel genuinely happy and like life is worth living. I never thought I’d be here. I didn’t even think I’d live past 18. I’m 24 in 6 months, seven years past my own expiration date, still kickin!!!!

I absolutely love how much she has built confidence in herself, on camera and in her successful business. I'm so happy to hear Hilas input on topics, she's so much more comfortable with the platform now vs then. She's an inspiration. I'm starting a beanie business with my mom. I'm so uncertain about everything... I'm in charge of graphic design, photography, social media, web design, video editing... all of the things that include many types of media. Seeing her go from a somewhat shy person who didn’t seem that comfortable on camera to a badass business owning mother who is constantly experimenting with her look/style has been awe inspiring. As someone who tends to be hyper-aware of my own thoughts which leads to feeling like I’m helplessly immersed in a sea of anxiety, the way Hila has gotten more comfortable in her own skin has really helped me feel better when I have those wonderfully bad days where I feel like all my hard work has been pointless.

    To go with the antidepressant meds...I want to say thank you for being so open about it and advocating for remedies such as medication. I have been diagnosed with Major Depression and Anxiety back in July 2022 and in my household, the mentality is, "you're young, what do you have to worry about" or "go to the gym, take a shower, clean the house" as remedies for my mental illnesses and medication is seen as something "weak" without them saying it point blank. Listeners, you are not weak, not crazy, not less-than. Please seek help, get that check-up, and diagnosis, and look for some remedies. Live this life out and see what happens! Love you & thank you for reading.

    Just felt like i should mention this, probably about 6 months ago i was so lost in my life with a generalized anxiety disorder and at the time i didn’t know what it was and i could barley talk and form words because of so much bullshit that was going on in my head. I didn’t care about anything that i loved before i fell into it. I was so against and scared of medicine because of my dad and family told me that it was just some scam from the doctors and government to get money from me. I eventually had no other option because i was at the end of trying, so i tried different medicines until i found prozac that really saved my life. I couldn’t do anything so i started taking small steps after my mom pushing me to do better so i started washing the dishes and turning on y’all’s podcast. This podcast means the absolute world to me. I love you guys and i wish i had people like you guys in my real life. Thank you for everything you guys do and y’all truly are my family even if we never get to meet in person❤️ Peace and love, Peace and love 🥲❤️

    Last year I was diagnosed with Bipolar which came as such a shock to me. I've been struggling with my mental health for years and Ethan and Hila have always made me feel confident in knowing it is okay to need the extra help in terms of medication. Just a little warning though for those who may have a family history of Bipolar- anti depressants can cause us to go into mania which is what happened to me, eventually sending me to the hospital. For a lot of people with Bipolar antidepressants can do more harm than good. So always speak with a psychiatrist for proper diagnosis before trying medications. Thank you so much Ethan for helping end the stigma surrounding mental health and medications. Peace and love to the family! ❤

    I’m so glad they’re addressing depression and medication. As someone who’s struggled with anxiety and postpartum depression and think I have depression but haven’t ever had the courage to seek help it is an insanely important topic. I so appreciate this. I’ve been in a situation where my coworkers say that going to the gym has “cured” their depression when just like Hila said, it’s a funk they’re just going through. So It feels pretty shitty when people say that because the gym or meditation isn’t the answer to all the problems, talking to a professional is.

    when I started my period for the first time, the only feminine products I had were a couple of 3 year old pad samples I had gotten in a lil care pack from a girl health lecture they made us attend one day in 5th grade. after I used up those I had nothing but toilet paper. took me bleeding through my clothes a few times for my mom to notice it in the laundry, she just bought me a pack of pads and left it on my bed, literally didn’t say a word about it. I really wish I had someone to ask about things back then

    I love that Ethan is comfortable enough to play around with what he knows is a menstrual cup, doing things like sucking on it and putting it on his eye. I know so many men who would not even touch it, even though it's brand new and never used. We need more men who are that comfortable around the concept of menstruation and products used for them. That sort of thing does a lot to de-stigmatize periods and people who have them.

    Thank you guys for this podcast. Medication for my depression/anxiety was one of my hardest decisions I’ve had to make. It took me years and my parents telling me they couldn’t deal with it anymore to get me on it, I tried multiple till I found what meditation was right for me. It wasn’t until months later when it started working fully, that I realised what life COULD be like. It wasn’t the easiest way out, death would’ve been that for me, and for many others. Thank you Ethan for talking about the truths of it, and thank you Hila for being the amazing, supportive woman that you are. Family
