    what changes in roboguide if i want a robot-mounted camera? it seems its not the same procedure and its a bit confusing

    43:31 was it supposed to have a little offset?? I've tried everything to make the robot pick the part perfectly, but no matter how I did, the robot will a little bit offset when picking the part.

    Good afternoon Adam, I tried to do a simulation on Roboguide with the camera mounted on the faceplate. Would you be able to support on this project. The pickup location is not accurate after taking the picture

    Very awesome video Adam! I am having trouble getting mine to work. I followed you step for step. The only difference in my cell is I am using a robot mounted camera and my conrod is setting on a separate table than my calibration grid. Will these differences affect anything? ie which frames I set for offsetting? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Does the calibration grid have to be on the same plane as the vision will be set up for? For instance if a table's on a 45 degree angle does the calibration grid and user frame also have to be taught at a 45 degree angle with respect to where the table is?

    • @AdamWillea
      @AdamWillea 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Aaron! A couple items here. First, Yes the cal grid needs to be on the same plane. It can be translated above or below where the part is picked and you can enter that number into the "Part Z Height" box, but it needs to be planar. You will be teaching your 4-point method User Frame to the grid which tells the robot what that angle is.
      On that note, you do not want your camera at an angle other than perpendicular to the picking surface. So if the table is on a 45, the camera should be mounted also on a 45 so that it points perpendicular to the surface. This is because of lens distortion and focal length. If the table is slanted away from the camera, the top and bottom of the table will be out of focus and the calibration will become distorted.
      This is not a problem when using 3DL or 3DV cameras.

    Adam thanks you this great video. I have a question for you. When i enable vision simulator i take an error message. "VSCiRVisionInterface.Connect Err Line Number:8 [iRVision] cannot connect virtual frame grabber. virtual camera connection failed. Please re open this workcell to connect virtual camera. Or, please reboot your PC. If you seee this error again, your security settingsmay prevent virtual camera connection. Please check the settings". I have already restart my PC and re open the workcell several times. Thanks again

      Hmmm... I'm honestly not quite sure what the problem may be on that one. Please contact your local FANUC Technical Support and they should be able to help work through this one.

    Hey Adam, I am a student currently in a class for the Fanuc robots. I was trying to follow your tutorial and serialized the robot in roboguide to include the iRVision 2D package but vision is not showing up in my cell browser. I there a way to add it manually after the fact?

    • @aakdahi
      @aakdahi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Arachni, Select Robot then properties or double click on the robot logo. Once the window opens under General click on Serialize Robot and add the option you need. Don't forget to Apply at the end.
