      bet those eyes can hypnotize mouses... I mean when you really look at it, the face of that owl while attacking could look a bit like a mouse's face. Maybe thats why their feathers are white instead of being camouflaged.

      More accurately the last thing a mouse most likely sees is deadly sharp talons or the rapidly approaching ground (If a barn Owl doesn't immediately squeeze it prey to total death it drops it from an incredible height), but imagine being the mouse seing this angel of death racing towards you!

      ***** They say they were one of the Guardians of the Gateways of Hell. To keep any wandering soul from accidentally entering Hell by guiding them back to Heaven or something....
      Maybe they really are "Angels of Death"....

    • @dreamwarrior93
      @dreamwarrior93 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ***** It's got something to do with religion, I think Christianity in particular. I saw a youtube video about religions and they mentioned about it. But I don't remember the video anymore.
      Since owls tend to be seen as the Wise Owl or that they represent wisdom and that they can See All since they are active at night, that's probably why they chose the owls to be a part of religion and to be the Guardians of the Gates of Hell. But they're not alone as Guardians of Hell. There's another animal that also guards the Gates as well, but I can't remember what it was, unfortunately....
      I'm sure youtube and google might have the answers we're looking for. Question is, where do we start? :)

    Incredible video. I am definitely going to use this as a drawing reference any time I need to draw wings in motion. Heck, even for a reference on feather details and how they actually appear when they're in a wing! There were absolutely some stunning shots of that in there, thank you so much for using a camera that could capture such details. Drawing singular feathers is one thing, but drawing a full wing and knowing _where_ to put the details so it doesn't look weird and over-rendered is a completely different ball game.
