We had Polybius at a small neighborhood arcade that I grew up at in Houston. I find it more amusing that it's some urban legend when those that remember it can't understand what the fuss is.

It really is! I was expecting some spinny, hypnotic patterns or something, but it really nicely mimics a period-accurate attract screen.
That thing is definitely cool AF. I don’t want to let go of the possibility that Polybius really did exist. I loved AVGN’s video on it. I really enjoyed this too. And a free hat? Who wouldn’t subject themselves to harmful mind control for that?!!

I have one of these and love it, but make sure you don't mistakenly plug in your 1UP arcade Space Invaders power to it as I did. The screen and sound are marquee are all dead now and I had to find another one, I got the last one on Amazon.

Have you compared the Quarter Arcades to the Replicades? The Tempest Replicade is on my wishlist...if I can ever find one for under $200. I'm also looking at the Galaga and Galaxian Quarter Arcades.
This was the first Numskull product I've ever had. I have several Replicades, though. SF2, Centpidede, and Asteroids.

Nope. Purely cosmetic. The button doesn't depress and the joystick doesn't move.
