Hello Dimitri, as a man I have to applaud you on your penchant for excellent rose fragrances and your exhaustive search to find those scents that are worthy of your accolades. Not many western males even try to wear rose, while in the Middle East men adore that heavenly scent and wear it openly and without any apologies given (and why should they?). Personally, I am also in love with Ormonde Jayne's offerings, especially Ta'If Elixir and Nawab of Oudh Intensivo. Both are outstanding in a very crowded field and I am positively surprised that you have featured this excellent house on your channel with such affection. For some reason it is quite underappreciated and receives little attention. Using the highest quality materials combined with the very highest achievement in olfactory perfection and prowess - Ormonde Jayne's rose based scents are absolute gems of perfume creation.

The note of rose will always reign supreme in my fragrance collection, and the information you've given for each rose and its scent was incredibly appreciated. On to the fragrances you've mentioned, I found myself getting so excited with each one mentioned, and when you ended on Ormonde Jayne I just had to begin typing. This house is one I jumped into only recently, and I'm enjoying every single one so far. TA'IF is so wonderful, I love its warmth from dates. Rose Gold is super addictive, and actually reminded me of Tobacco Rose on my skin (which I also have). Interestingly, I also sampled Atomic Rose recently and felt exactly the same as you. . Synthetic and off! My current fave rose scents are: Rose Barbare guerlain Rose Trombone L'Orchestre Ta'if Ormonde Jayne Tobacco Rose Papillon Artisan Oud Bouquet Lancome La Colle Noire Dior Rose Gipsy Dior Rose Anonyme Atelier Noir de Noir Tom Ford . . Well there's more but you get the idea 😁.

Ormonde Jayne is one of my favourite perfume brands. I'm not a huge fan of rose dominant fragrances but I fell in love with their Taif. As a woman, it does make me feel very feminine but I think a man can pull it off because of the spicy notes. I think I'm going to wearing it today.
hi great video. i am also a rose freak and indie perfumer who uses rose damask, bulgarie, and de mai absolutes in my fragrances. the rose that blew me away came initially as s free sample from Saudi Arabia. Thierry Wassers Rose Nacree du desert 2012 edition. i bought it when it was £400 including shipping from Saudi. It is exquisite and contains incense amber and real oud. The 2016 reformulation isn’t quite as good but worth a try . I own both. The prices gave sky rocketed but Guerlain’s in house master perfumer has created in my opinion an incredible perfume that lasts forever on clothes. It was made for the middle eastern market. I own Amouage Lyric Man and Woman full bottles and POAL also Une Rose EdPFM full bottle. After smelling Rose Nacree du desert I have stopped searching. But thanks for tour great informative video and ill get some samples. I blind bough poal and une rose and Lyric full bottles a practice I have long stopped doing👍🏻🙏🔱

Great! I've been in the darkness for the last few years. I don't own any of those you mentioned and have no idea how they smell. And my entire perfume collection is built around rose. 😳🤦🏼♀️
Interesting. I’ve never tried any of ormonde jayne’s rose offerings. My go-to rose bomb so far has always been More Than Words by Xerjoff. Oud Satin Mood from MFK is a close second.
I’m wondering why Tom fords “rose prick” did not make the cut? I have not yet smelt it personally and it may not have come out yet when you recorded this.
The only rose fragrances I own are Bvlgari Garanat, Carolina Herrera Oud Couture, and vintage Parfum d’Hermes. I will order a sample of Rose Gold ASAP! 💪

Try Xerjoff Richwood , I believe it’s on a different level 👍, as you mentioned atomic Rose each to their own opinion, I believe it’s an amazing scent with full of compliments.
Fascinating stuff indeed! Rose has to be right up there for me too. So far the most scintillating experience of rose has to be the Taif rose attar by ASQ, and believe it or not among all the fragrances I own, that has to be one of the best things I like to use and feel great instantly. It’s like a well blended fragrance giving out various nuances. I have been asked so many times what I am wearing and where can I get it etc. never tried the Ormond Janes though.

Amouage Lyric woman I love and have a bottle of. I love Ormonde Jayne, I have quite a few of her perfumes. I have T’aif , Nawab Of Oudh, Tolu and Ambre Royal. I love all of them . TOLU was my first love from this house. I am crazy about it. When I discovered Ormonde Jayne, I was blown away. I had to sample everything from the house and while I didn’t love all of them, most I did love . But I never tried the rose gold. I didn’t even hear of it . Now I MUST go and get a sample . I have a very old bottle of Perris Monte Carlo Rose de Taif and it’s very nice. Maybe they changed or reformulated it . The bottles look different now too.

And I hope you’ll be reviewing Le Labo Santal 33 because that little sucker has me! It’s synthetic yet there’s something about it that makes me crave it, I really like it. The leather in Santal 33 reminds me of the leather in Dior Fahrenheit. It’s gonna be interesting to see what you think of it.

Received a sample of Operose from Parfums Vintage. It's an inspiration of Dior Oud Ispahan. I have never ventured into a Rose forward fragrance before. At first I was skeptical however I can't seem to put it away. I'm drawn to it in a mystical way.
I own Jo Malone’s Rose and White Musk which is probably one of the fewest niche like fragrances in their line, worth the $300 I spent for it. Lasts all day, and I receive compliments whenever I wear it, excellent unisex scent.
…I have tried many rose fragrances, and the only two that satisfies my need for a true rose scent that is not metallic or mixed with Oud or spices. After paying up to $300. for a rose perfume, the most realistic and very inexpensive rose that transport you to a fresh rose garden is Tea Rose by The Perfumers Workshop ltd. No wonder it was the signature of Lady Di, Catherine Deneuve and Nicole Kidman to name a few. It comes in edt and edp, and can be bought for as low as $20.!!!! It is the most realistic Rose ever and it lasts a long time. The other rose will be Porpora by Tiziana Terenzi, very similar to POAL, but much more potent.
Have you tried Dolce Gabbana Mysterious Night? - if you have what are your thoughts (especially for women compliments) and why did it not make the list?

Lyric man can be experienced in a rose candle for £5 and it`s up to you whether you want to smell soapy pink girly rose on your skin or you just enjoy this aroma at home via the candle. I keep the lovely Amouage box though.
Different people different skin PH, nothing girly about Lyric when I wear it, besides when your wife says you can't use it cause it smells too good, well that my friend is an extra reason to wear it

I’ve got a spritz if Rose Gold on my arm and it’s incredible. Seriously considering pulling the trigger on that one, especially after hearing your review. Curious to know what you thought of Rose of No Mans Land. It’s my favourite fresh rose so far. Much better than Lyric which is so loved but I don’t understand the hype.

I recently discovered Ormonde Jayne about 6 moths ago and I am crazy about everything I bought from this house. My favorites are Royal Elixir, TOLU, TAIF, Frangipani. Vanille D’Iris, Tsarina, Sampaquita, Champaca, Osmanthus and oh I also love Nawab of Oudh. I was disgusted by Le Labo’s rose 31 and Initio Atomic rose is a worst smelling perfume ever. Have you smelt Perris Monte Carlo Rose de Taif? It is my most favorite rose fragrance and I too have hundreds of samples of all kinds of rose perfumes. So far I have to say that Ormonde Jayne is my most favorite perfume house . And second is Maison Francis Kurkjan. Right now I am searching out the best Amber floral scents. All the ones I see get high reviews are terrible to me. None have compared to the beautiful Royal Elixir by Ormonde Jayne. My goodness it’s so beautiful that my eyes roll into my head with happiness. Oh my goodness what a beautiful scent. Nothing compares. Serge Lutens Ambre sultan is a joke. It’s mostly incense. I hate incense, Oud or tobacco notes in my perfume.

I didn't like Portrait of a Lady. Big disappointment. Loud, plasticky, synthetic-like rose. I wore the designer Dolce&Gabbana The One Mysterious Night and that had a better rose, blended with amber.

Ormonde makes some amazing perfumes, I also fell hard for Black Gold but unfortunately it costs a fortune ! Will get Santal 33 sample soon ✅💯

Yes I have, it leaves a wonderfull sillage in the air but it feels quite unpalatable when I smell it up close, just like The Moon 😒

Did you try Tom Ford Cafe Rose and how it compares with your top picks? i think it is much better than Portrait of a Lady.
Cafe Rose is very nice, a rich and uncomplicated scent that works well and smells good. My top picks are a bit more interesting and unique ;)
I’ve got a spritz if Rose Gold on my arm and it’s incredible. Seriously considering pulling the trigger on that one, especially after hearing your review. Curious to know what you thought of Rose of No Mans Land. It’s my favourite fresh rose so far. Much better than Lyric which is so loved but I don’t understand the hype.

Not sure about the blue vibe but when I think of dark rose fragrances a few come to mind: Thirty Three by Ex Idolo, Aoud by Roja, Triad by Bortnikoff, Oumma by SHL, Oud Fleur and Caffè Rose by Tom Ford.. Will make a video about it soon

I recently discovered Ormonde Jayne about 6 moths ago and I am crazy about everything I bought from this house. My favorites are Royal Elixir, TOLU, TAIF, Frangipani. Vanille D’Iris, Tsarina, Sampaquita, Champaca, Osmanthus and oh I also love Nawab of Oudh. I was disgusted by Le Labo’s rose 31 and Initio Atomic rose is a worst smelling perfume ever. Have you smelt Perris Monte Carlo Rose de Taif? It is my most favorite rose fragrance and I too have hundreds of samples of all kinds of rose perfumes. So far I have to say that Ormonde Jayne is my most favorite perfume house . And second is Maison Francis Kurkjan. Right now I am searching out the best Amber floral scents. All the ones I see get high reviews are terrible to me. None have compared to the beautiful Royal Elixir by Ormonde Jayne. My goodness it’s so beautiful that my eyes roll into my head with happiness. Oh my goodness what a beautiful scent. Nothing compares. Serge Lutens Ambre sultan is a joke. It’s mostly incense. I hate incense, Oud or tobacco notes in my perfume.

I didn't like Portrait of a Lady. Big disappointment. Loud, plasticky, synthetic-like rose. I wore the designer Dolce&Gabbana The One Mysterious Night and that had a better rose, blended with amber.
