I’m 6’2 and still growing. So would it be better to push my seat forward and have my wight in a better position but have my knees really high up and close to the wheel or have the seat all the way back?
I'm 190cm (what the hell is feet anyway :D) and there is no right answer for that. Sliding all the way back impairs your steering, so maybe shifting a little forward will do better without making you too uncomfortable. But sit too close for your height - and you couldn't turn right because your knees are where your ears at, your left foot is bended by unnatural angles on the brake pedal risking to press it when unnecessary and/or just hurt a lot. A few days ago we had a marathon race and I had to drive 1 hour straight. I did well for my height, weight(almost 95kg) and experience. But when I tried to stand up from the kart - my legs refused to hold me :D Welcome to karting, Stretch! :)
I give a newbie a tip once: Her hands where on a quarter to 9 on the steering wheel when cornering left. Yes, that means pulling on the steer with both hands on the left part of the steer.
So basically if you're tall you are destined to suffer from understeer, must be the reason why f1 drivers are so small :)
Haha, true!
great demonstration!
Will make some adjustments based on this demonstration. Great video as usual!
Nice demonstration, Omar, great video for new people into karting!
Great Video!
i will go karting tomorow thanks for your advice!
When i wear my rib protector while karting i always feel that my back has no grip against the seat what should i do
Which rib protector do you use?
@@kartingtips sparco k-4
do u have any possible reasons why this might happen?
@@tristanloh9237 Ah okay, it's probably due to the design of the Sparco model. In my experience Bengio has the best rib protectors.
@@kartingtipsYes, I have no problems with Bengio either.
Great video! I have a sim set up at home from my brother who went to college, what games/simulators do u recommend for practicing karting primarily?

Hi
Hey!
I give a newbie a tip once: Her hands where on a quarter to 9 on the steering wheel when cornering left. Yes, that means pulling on the steer with both hands on the left part of the steer.
