Oooh I love your Jane Austen shelf! That's one of my summer reading goals, I want to finish all her books. I've only completed Persuasion and Pride and Prejudice and I want to read them all! Your shelves are so pretty! I love all your little posters and magnets and cushions and stuff, especially the "as soon as I finish this chapter..." one, it's so true!
Your bookshelves are absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing them with us! Have you ever thought about making a video on how to make those bookmarks? They're so cool!
On your tbr - archived was very good. Cruel Beauty I'm listening to now. Enjoying it. Shades of grey got me back into reading again. When you have triplets I spent the last 8 years of my life not reading and just taking care of them. Last summer I picked up shades of gray during the summer and could not put them down. But be prepared as they are adult. Even my mom was reading them. I'm in my 40's and my mom is in her 60's. So many books you and I own and have not read yet. So little time
This was great! I am always so interested in how people organise their bookshelves (I do mine sort of by genre) and yours look gorgeous! You have so many books I really want to read. And you should totally continue reading Percy Jackson and the series that comes after that; those books are really amazing. I also loved the chaos walking trilogy by Patrick Ness, The book thief and The curious incident of the dog in the night time.
Love your bookshelves! My recommendations for what to read next would be Love and other Perishable Items and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. I read these both last year and loved them. ♥
omg your bookshelves are gorgeous!! So many books on your 'read' shelf are just waiting in my TBR. So excited to get into them--especially The Program duology and The Diviners aghhhh
THE SELECTION SERIES IS SO GOOD AND IT WAS A TRILOGY WITH 2 NOVELLAS BUT NOT KIERA CASS IS WRITING 2 MORE NOVELLAS... AND... you'll never believe this........... 2 MORE NOVELS!! Agh I'm so excited. ~Autumn
I love the tea shelf, your tbr shelf is OUT OF CONTROL (which I totally like), and I'm looking forward to Horde by Ann A. Thanks for bookshelf tour. It was worth the watch. :D
Love your tea stash :P cute tea pot! It's a shame I don't even have the Harry Potter school books. Wow I didn't even know there was a book for AUSTENLAND..I just saw the movie on Netflix a while ago. So cute. I love how your bookcases are so organized and put together..Mine are disorganized and everywhere there's space LOL SO MANY AMAZING BOOKS Shannon
I just got back from my first trip to Paris and London and I absolutely loved it. I hope you get to go someday soon!!! The Harry Potter studio tour is of course a must-see.
So many amazing books and trinkets! I definitely recommend you pick up the sea of tranquility.. Especially if you love new adult. I'm very picky with new adult but this is my all time favorite book. Also, this song will save your life, the host! OMG the host is so so good! (Get through the first 80 pages and you'll love it). There's also Hemlock!!
The Maze Runner, The Book Thief, the second Percy Jackson series, and Learning Not to Drown just need to take priority they are all AMAZING books. All of my friends loved Learning Not to Drown. And on another note don't stop reading tmr trilogy because you've heard iffy things about it. I loved them so much!
You really, really need to read The Book Thief, Just One Day, and Will Grayson, Will Grayson!! Sooo good! Loved this tour btw! Wish I had that many books!
Oh my god this video was awesome! :) Also, I have the exact same mug as yours, the "Keep calm and drink tea" one, it's actually one of my all time favourites because it's from my first trip to London. :)
I've never watched a bookshelf tour all the way trough , but yours are just so nice and I was completely entertained :D ) Im so guilty at staring at my shelves in awe sometimes XD haha ) I would highly recommend the maze runner and to all the boys I loved before :D , great video Shannon
Great shelves! If you enjoyed Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, you should definitely read Hollow City! It was so good! Better than the first, in my opinion.
I laughed out loud when you're like "My friend drew a picture of me and Harry Styles, you know, normal stuff." So true... in 1D fans minds, normal...lol. LOVED THIS VIDEO
I totally understand what you feel when you said your not finishing the City of Bones series! I liked the ending of City of Glass WAAAYY better then the City of Heavenly Fire series.
I absolutely ADORE The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. And I hope to have that many read books some day! I have two very small sections that are actually read on my shelves right now but i'm trying to work on them.
Wildwood is totally amazing and so are the other two when youre done with that one. they are Under Wildwood, which I liked best, and Wildwood Imperium. They are super duper awesome so I hope you read them!
Looking for Alaska. You should definitely read that as soon as possible! It's my favorite of all John Green's books. Fun Fact: It was the book that got me into YA! IT'S SO GOOD!
your shelves are so beautiful :D the picture of dorian gray is one of my favorite classics-- since you love jane austen so much, you'll probably love oscar wilde's writing (it's very pretty and descriptive) :)
The Barnes & Nobles classics are so pretty huh? I have their Alice in Wonderland. I'm about 3/4 of the way through Sense and Sensibility. It's honestly not my favorite type of book, but I love forcing myself to read outside of the little box I put myself in lol ... yay for books. I subscribed. :)
Just to let you know Nil and Princess Academy aren't stand alone. Princess academy has two book out in the series so far and the third is coming out soon (or it might already be out I don't know for sure). And the second book to Nil is coming out next year (2015).
I really want that Harry Potter Page to Screen book. I also love all those little containers you have. They make everything look so homey. We should read the 5th Percy Jackson book together. It's the only one I have left to read and I'm just not motivated to read it on my own. I also started Anna Karenina but I haven't finished it yet. ( so much rambling) Not sure if you got my text but I found a "spin off sequel type book" that has to do with Mr. Darcy. It's called Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife by Linda Berdoll. I saw it and thought you would like it & I'd be more that happy to send it to you :)
Looking For Alaska is super good, just don't go in with super high hopes. The blanker the slate you have the better you'll like it! John Green is supreme. DFTBA!
How are the princess series by Cabot? Are they ya? Wow that's a lot of Jane Austin books. I'm not sure I read pride and prejudice or not. Can't remember. Love how you have your shelves set up between read and unread. So need to get another book shelf.
i really think you should finish reading the mortal instrument series. i agree, (like everyone else haha), that the fourth book is kind of hard to get into because its kind of a filler book. but city of heavenly fire has a great ending, even better then city of glass did :)
I know it's a bit late, but you should read the Ruby Red Trilogy. The books are just amazing! To be honest, I read them in german, so I can't tell you much about the english translation, but the story is just SO GOOD! Have a good day :)
I love Bananagrams! Haha I got Maybe Someday a little while ago and can't wait to read it! I also separate my read books from my unread books. I feel like I won't forget any that way lol
I just watched this whole thing and can actually only comment on the fact that you thought there was a voice when the car started oh my god :D i laughed so much though I probably only didn't freak out because I knew ahahaah :D other than that I would have so much to comment on all the different books that I feel like I should cut it here.. but I am super happy you did a bookshelf tour, I enjoyed it a lot!
The host was surprisingly brilliant. It's so different from the Twilight novels, and the story is so unique. I personally was astonished by how good the book was, since the writing in the Twilight novels never impressed me very much.
Shannon, you seriously need to read Along For the Ride. It's my all time favourite Sarah Dessen book and I've read almost all of her books. You should check it out! :)
its kind of a funny story - i read that book by going to barnes and noble every day for a week.. i felt bad that i read it for free so i bought it once i was done. i loved it.
I love that Keep calm and make tea magnet. My fathers friend has pet peacocks, they're gorgeous :D Have you watched the film Avalon High? Its the adaptation, it's okay, certainly not the best! And I'd recommend Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen. Its such a good contemporary.
hi! idk if you still have your bookshelfs organized like that, but I was watching it and it made me a little confused that you separeted series, so I just want you to know how I know which books I need to read: I put these little white circles on the bottom of the spine of every book that I havent read yet, and I think it helps a lot to keep my books organized. well, have a nice day!
hey you really should finish the mortal instruments its really good and we got away pretty good not that many deaths and I love love love the last book and city of lost souls even though the fourth one was short and a little depressing but you just have to push through it and city of heavenly fire ends well
I know this is a few months after this is made, but I highly recommend when you get around to reading Cryer's Cross by Lisa McMann that you give any of her other books a try, because I honestly think all of her others a much better than Cryer's Cross, and I'd hate if that book turned you off of her novels, because the others are fantastic!
on your tbr :) i recommend the razorland trilogy & the revenants trilogy aka die for me series. i love this bookshelf tour. sooo organized. you got almost equal amount of read and unread. awesome!!! ^_^
Have you read the rest of the Books of Bayern (the Goose Girl is the 1st one). It has been my favorite series for 5 years (well it was my fav for about 2 years but now I've read so many books that I can't choose ONE fav series, but it's tied with some others). I love Shannon Hale's fantasy books so much. Austenland was also really cute. ~Autumn
i cant find those covers for vampire academy anywhere. i own the first one and i got it signed but i dont have the rest. and all i can find are the new covers
Your TBRs remind me a lot of mine. How do you decide what to read next? Sometimes, I spend half an hour just looking at my books and reading one or two pages from several trying to decide what's going to be read next. So much to read and so little time!!! #booknerdproblems *sigh*

Thank you! That helps a lot :)
