The title of this video refers to upgrading/removing the start/stop module. But the video itself is about taking a lot of parts out of the way first. I watched the video wanting to hear about the start/stop module. There was very little mention of that. If you want to remove start/stop in the first place, you may simply defeat it without removing it. I disabled the start/stop function on my Clubman by using the Bimmercode app.
Yes. In order to change the Start/Stop module, it is required to remove the radio screen & the Passenger Illumination Dash Trim.All these parts are tied/overlay over one another. The lower lip of the radio circle overlays on the passenger dash trim & the dash illumination trim itself hides the screw that needs to come out for the start/stop module to be removed. In my case, i had upgraded the start/stop module from its OEM item to a newer product that contained the feature to enable/disable Front PDC/Park assist. My Front PDC is a Retrofit on my F60.
