It’s still dark here in Oz. Not a light to be seen in my valley lol I love your work, it’s hard to pick a fav. I love colour though, any colour or all together lol. I’ve spent a lot of time in Afghanistan and Syria and love the rich jewel colours they use.

I love your channel and what you do for foster families! You've probably heard of this book already, but if not, look up Walk to Beautiful by country music singer Jimmy Wayne. It's a great read! He is a keynote speaker who brings awareness to the cause of helping kids who are aging out of foster care. You'll love the book!

I loved the dining set! What a beautiful combination. And YES to not liking the Ace Hardware spray paint. I've tried that stuff multiple times and each time I swore I wouldn't use it again. It's just not the same quality as Rustoleum.
Amen to that! Let's promise to never use it again! Haha

Sometimes when I see you're working on a piece that resembles one I owned at one time, I wonder . . . and I lived in that part of Texas . . .
When you mix the clear coat in, does that change how workable the paint is?
Yes! It will no longer be blendable unless it's very wet. You also won't be able to wet distress it, and it's ability to grip to slick surfaces is diminished a little bit. Paints that don't have any sealer are great at sticking to slick surfaces. If you sand first or if the surface is not slick, then you're all good

Yes and yes! This one got picked up from me which was nice to not have to deliver far away haha!

next time as a guide to glue on the stud strips, use a long piece of cardboard as a guide to make sure your trim is straight.
So I’m flipping something for some family.
I got rust-oleum satin black enamel in an hvlp and the dresser drawers have not hardened and it’s been a week. Any ideas? You seem to be both responsive and knowledgeable. Help! Lol
Oddly enough, the dresser itself came out perfect. The drawers scratch when rubbing my fingernails over them lightly.
I don’t know if I should try another light coat and letting it sit. Or adding a clear coat or Polly over top to make it hard.

Hmm...what did you clean the surface with and did you scuff sand before painting?
@@DesertDIY yeah I hit it with 120 grit and cleaned with mineral spirits.
I think I narrowed it down to the consistant 80%+ humidity I have had for two weeks straight. And maybe a coat a tad to thick.

Hi Corey, Love your furniture makeovers.... I've done some myself... Got a?.... I want to decoupage some fabric on a chest of drawers but the fabric is unknown I'm thinking it's probably acetate or something similar to that maybe a nylon or a polyester can that be decoupage onto on to a chest drawers?
I would test out a piece on something else like a piece of cardboard and see how it does. Thank you for watching!
New Sub awesome CREATIONS. I am starting to do all of this, but im in an apartment and disabled just had bone surgery 10, can u do some upcycling videos on Van life or small space pieces. I'll be having to live in my VAN in a few weeks and I need ideas.. 300$ a month isntvmuch to live on.but if that not what you do it's okay I just thought I'd ask

Sanding never hurts but it's not always necessary and no need for primer
Did you dye your hair ? IT looks great.
Thank you Amber! I actually did the opposite, I cut out all the dyed parts and this is my natural color. I never knew how dark my hair really was! I was born with white blonde hair and was naturally blonde until adulthood. Now I'm a fairly dark brunette!

If the dresser was made of foam it must of been a dresser made as a “Movie Prop” they make them to look like real furniture because they can be easily breakable for the movies.
