He definitely stopped at Jackson High School yesterday! Anybody who keeps up with recruiting or HS ball knows they have some excellent players to be a 4A school. Btw, they destroyed their opponents to win the 4A title. I hear DeBoer spent about a hour with Ezavier Crowell, top RB in the 2027 class but I can tell you Crowell is ready to come out next cycle with the 2026 class if they can make it work with his credits/school work. Also spent some time with Landon Duckworth who’s one of the top duel threat QBs in the 2026 class! Think they have a corner who was once committed to Bama in Jackson also.
As much as Luke mutes, you would think that he would be prepared for his phone to slide without making that sound. Just pulling your chain brother. Roll Tide! Y'all keep em coming
Great takes gentlemen! I agree with your Notre Dame point on the revenue share but don’t forget it is a difficult school to get into academically. That is a major factor because they won’t be able to get in everyone through that stuffy door lol #RollTide
It’s a Totally New World for how to build a Powerhouse College Football Team. Did you notice even Debo Sweeney is Actively Recruiting with NIL now. I think in this new world Top Programs will select their HS Recruits in two groups: A) Projected Instant Players 50% ( 1/2 leave in 2 yrs) B) Development Players 50% (stay full 4-5 yrs) Even these players will get some NIL money, especially the 5-star recruits and the Players who become starters you develop and can’t afford to lose. Finally, a third group will consume the most NIL dollars per player, although not overall, and they will be pencil in starters with 2-3 years of proven experience and/or high nfl draft grades. I think some teams will try to short-circuit the Development of HS Recruits but overall the Elite Teams will still get 2/3 - 3/4 of their firepower from their own recruits. Just my guess.
Roll tide Love the podcast and Deboer ought to be recruiting Grubb or other competent OC. It looks like its come down to Auburn, Alabama, and Tennessee for SEC bball #RTR
The days of not criticizing??? If I had a nickel for every time I've read/heard so-and-so "is trash" about guys like Milroe / Seth M / Proctor / Pritchett, etc., I'd be able to kick in a million of NIL myself!
I still believe NIL should be earned endorsement based, period! These kids coming out of highschool now with the pay for play getting 4 or 5 million having never played a down of college football is just foolishly crazy!!! Also the portal should be first one is free, after the first one you sit a season!!!
Nah. Schools or affiliated orgs, like Yea Alabama, should be able to pay the players, over & above scholarships. BUT, it should be an equal amount to every player, like a Universal Basic Income. And that amount should be capped, so that a school that has more money can't necessarily just pay more to get better players. THEN, the top players can earn individual NIL contracts with external concerns.
@jimmy, you keep saying revenue sharing for "scholarship players" Then you said for football "divided by 105" There reportedly is going to be 85 scholarships and 20 walk on did you misspeak or will revenue sharing include the walk ons?
I have no doubt our basketball team has the highest ceiling in the country. We haven't even come close to it. Youngblood is still getting his legs under him, mo D is handling the ball more every game, the freshmen still have a lot to learn, sherrell will be significantly better come march. Auburn is without a doubt the best team right now, but how much higher is their ceiling? No shot they keep this shooting percentage all year.
I was 18 and got a settlement and boy you couldn't be more correct. Anytime you give kids that young that much money, financial advice is definitely needed.
I remember dropping a comment last year Luke to not let Zac Blackerby sneak diss Alabama. He always do that to every Lock on guess but Matt Moscona checked him. They are very arrogant on that Locked on Auburn and Warraport they hate Bama with a passion. I wouldn't go on there with Zac again.
I get we wanna recruit Alabama guys, but it would have been malpractice for Deboer to recruit a state he has no connection to. I don't mind him getting west coast guys because that's where his connections are.
Yeah Jimmy millions watch the sport but how much longer will that last with them ruining it with unregulated nil and transfer portal? I give it a couple years before the sport some of us loved at one point to be unrecognizable
Look Luke, I get it, you operate on total subscribers. However, stop the homer crap. Every player is not a star. You will grow your channel by honesty.
Angry that players are getting part of the revenue they help create?? Think you should be happy they are doing it this way instead of getting asked for yeaAlabama donations every month
Most people don’t mind the players making money. They just mind that there are no uniform rules and it’s the Wild West. No professional league could survive no salary caps, no contracts, and unlimited free agency, yet that’s what college is right now.
Roll Tide! You guys are always my first listen, appreciate yall!

You nailed it Luke. 16:50

One thing that I have heard was the facilities and how top notch everything was at Bama. Will that hurt us in that aspect
Luke has ruined me. When I think of the school formerly known as South Carolina, I hear in my head “South Cack-a-lacky.”

I've always wondered why the awkward pause before promotions
Because on audio, I have to put in an ad, but that ad isn't on YT... good question though
@lukerobinson7079 thank you for responding. I listen to every show #Rockon!
@@Benajames79 appreciate that!
The days of calling them kids and not criticizing are over.

Recurting is one thing but making it stick n working is another thing

Hope these kids are getting financial advice to go along with the money
Does the chains that damn near every player has on give you confidence in that?

RTR❤
Will there still be NIL? If not, it'll be back to dropping bags IN ADDITION TO the Revenue Sharing.
yes
Don't look for ticket sales to remain affordable

ND absolutely genius. Especially if they win the title. $20 million will have them set up to get great talent for years.
If that's true about ND, then the NCAA and conferences who agreed to it are all idiots!
Belichick is going to the Raiders

I still believe all of this stuff is going to kill college football
It will just wondering the timeline
Just like the Civil War killed Plantation Aristocracy 🤷♂️
Stevenson got the hard hat
Ur wrong pipe dreaming

Not all sports at bama generate revenue lol

@ yeah I don’t mind it I can still remember Tyrone Prothro breaking his leg
Yea Alabama will still need money as well. NIL not going away
we said SOME people would be angry... we arent
