@@zphre7548 It is also stated in the Qur'an that Allah solely created Jinns and humans for worshipping Him. But why then eternal tormenting punishment for disbelievers or even Hell, if the only purpose of us is worship and someone simply didn't fulfill that purpose.
A human would act this way out of anger if something doesn't work as wished, but Allah would have a greater purpose of doing so, wouldn't He?
Might it be for deterrence on earth to make some turn to believe in reaction to the warning of Hell and then implementation of the punishment because only then can a threat really deter if one expects that it will be realised?
But since we humans in this world cannot know whether someone has actually gone to Hell or not after his crimes, or whether he or she will go to Hell (God is supposed to be the ultimate judge, whose decision we cannot know), the actual implementation of the punishment of Hell does not serve the purpose of deterrence. Since we cannot perceive the implementation of the threat in the afterlife here in this world (we only have the message it would happen), but only the threat, an implementation here does not cause any greater credibility and deterrence.
What does the implementation of Hell, especially eternal torture, contribute to the goal of making us worship Him?

      @minarar.2042 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Foshoo1 I wonder why would it be just to punish an unbeliever from a Creator's point of view. In human society, an authority punishes the ones who do not acknowledge it for the risk of breaking their rules or threatening the power of the authority. If people living in a democracy deny to do so and do not maintain it by contributing their part, the system can easily fall apart. Similarly, in a monarchy, the ruler risks a loss of power without approval of the people in his territory. If an almighty Creator and his system are superior to all creation, they couldn't fall apart due to any creature's disbelief. As far as I can see, the belief itself is not more and not less than having a certain inner notion of the world. A worldview, mostly influencing the verbal and practical actions we carry out. And those are what determines, as far as we can see, how we affect each other's lives.
If someone denies the existence of God, questions it or is unsure about it, he doesn't necessarily mistreat or disdain the creation itself. You can believe in no God and no Creator or be unsure about it and still value and treat all beings as kindly as it's just possible.
If we give living beings their rights simply by saying that they deserve praise as a creation of a creator like the creator Himself in order to honor Him, then by denying His existence we are in fact depriving living beings as a creation of their rights and treat them badly when we see the fact that they are a product of the Creator as the only reason for treating them well.
This is not the case, however, if one grants living beings their rights and the purpose of treating them well because of themselves, regardless of their origin, because they are sentient, thinking, living beings. One is entitled to human rights because one is born a human being.
And if God is superior to all creation and we so powerless in comparison to Him, we cannot harm Him by not believing.
Of course, you cannot undergo every possibility of harm, since our perception is limited. Nor can you claim it is certainly going to be punished. There is a basic uncertainty to these questions. But at least, as far as I can see, there is no observable harm just due to belief and worldview, but due to actions.
I am always ready to be taught better if it should be in fact otherwise

@@minarar.2042 You're forgetting one main thing: none of this needed to exist. God would still be God if He didn't create you and me. The fact that He created you and me and everything else is enough to be grateful for. Plus, that's where faith comes in. When God says He will be fair, He is fairer than your mother, but there is still punishment. That right there, I have to say, I don't know. Maybe there is something I can't see since I have a limited sense of perception. Maybe God created the universe in such a way that whatever evil happens, it happens due to us doing all that He told us not to do, but we can't see the whole picture. Maybe there is a different explanation, I don't know. There is uncertainty here, no doubt about that, but if you keep thinking things along this line and pray to God in your heart, you will see that you will eventually feel a sense of fulfillment inside your heart. A better question is, why didn't God show us everything, everything that happens, the whole chain of consequences? But then, God would have created gods and not humans. If God really wanted to create humans and then show them or give all the answers, we would have asked what the point of all this drama is. Maybe what God will give us is not something that can just be given without earning it. If God wanted to do that, He would have created beings and then made them happy and continued to do so for infinity, but then again, what's the point?

Hello! That's indeed the case in many human societies. When you insult or slap a king it causes you more trouble than doing so to someone normal, but is that because the same slap or insult is worse when it hits a king? Whether they are king or not doesn't determine how painful and harmful it is and both persons have the same right to remain unhurt. Isn't the only difference the attention is raises?
And therefore it is more troublesome in our human society.
Not because it's a worse deed than slapping or insulting anyone else.

What is in us is a reflection of God.
When you stand in front of the mirror, what you see is a reflection, it has nothing of its own except what it reflects of you. This is the nature of our inner self, our soul. It has the limitless potential to reflect Allah's qualities and attributes but on its own, it owns nothing, has nothing and can do nothing.
Do not confuse God with His own creation just because you can see Him reflected in His creation.
When you look at the stars at night in all their magnificence, you do not say, God is inside the stars, do you? Just because the stars reflect His quality of Magnificence. So why will you think God resides inside the Human?
Our inner self is connected to God at all times just as your reflection in the mirror is connected to the real you.
This is the important distinction. You are a servant of a powerful master who has dominion over everything and requires your humility and submission.
You are a vessel through which His divine will and attributes can be anchored into this physical reality on Earth.
It's easier when you stop trying to contain or understand God because He defies all understanding. Instead, try to understand who you are and the relationship you have with Him.
      And Allah knows best.

Before breaking down every question and answer I will make my 2 main objections to all his answers:
    1. There is no free will;
    2. Isolating criminals from society in prison for them not to commit more crimes is ABSOLUTELY NOT the same as torturing people for eternity to punish them.
Now let’s break down every answers to every question:
    1. Basically Allah acts like a king in his kingdom, like an absolute monarch, totalitarian dictator but not like a democratic leader. Whatever he says is right and if you disagree, then you will be punished. Also see my main objection #2👆
    2. No one says punishment should be for the duration of the crime, I don’t know where this guy got it from. He either deliberately misinterpreted the question or just didn’t understand it. Probably the second. The point is that a person gets infinite punishment for a finite nature of the crime.Human courts work this way(to oversimplify): Kill one person - go to jail for 10 years. Kill two - go for 20. But god is like: “no no, doesn’t matter how many you kill - you will be tortured forever”. What the actual hell??😅
Also life sentence of a person still ends with his death, so it’s NOT infinite. Souls in hell are punished FOREVER. Flawed logic all over the place.
    3. His example about getting eternal punishment for the reason of god being an eternal being just basically shows how insecure, narcissistic and vengeful this “absolutely perfect, all-loving and merciful” god is.
    4. Objection to this is there is no free will. Also I am not claiming that I should be honored for my good deeds, I just do good deeds cause I want to help others, I love seeing other people happy. God on the other hand wants to be honored and worshipped for his good deeds. This again shows god’s insecurity and narcissistic attitude.
    5. The first part of his answer I agree with. I don’t agree with people saying: “oh, we are so small and insignificant compared to the universe”. However then he proceeds with total nonsense. A sign that there is electric shock or mother preventing her child from touching a heater is just a warning of a natural occurring process that could be dangerous and harmful for you. It’s NOT the same as if someone tells you he’s gonna torture you for eternity if you don’t worship him. Nothing compassionate here. Again, come on, these analogies are just 🤦‍♂️
    6. First objection: there is no free will. Second objection: God is multiplying evil. Look, instead of asking god: “Why didn’t you punish the person for wrongdoing? Where is your mercy?” I personally would ask: “Why did you let him do it in the first place? Where is your mercy?” There is no violent punishment that can compensate torturing and killing a child. Just don’t let this happen in the first place if you’re an all-powerful all-knowing all-loving being.
    7. Basically all the previous questions and answers don’t matter cause in the end everyone will be forgiven🤷‍♂️ He could’ve just said that in the beginning and the video would’ve been 30 seconds long. And another thing: why create this world? If you are an infinitely loving and caring being and in the end everyone will be in heaven anyways, then just put everyone there right away! Without making people live though this life, with all it’s negative aspects, pain, suffering, temptations to sin etc.

      I wonder:
      Aren't those two surahs contradicting?
“All good and evil are from Allah.” (Surah an-Nisa 4/78)
Here I understand: It is Allah who created good and evil. He caused both to come into existence.
“What comes to you of good is from Allah, but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself. (Surah an-Nisa 4/79)
Here I understand: All good is caused by Allah, all evil by yourself.
Doesn't the consent and the message of Allah only influence our partial will, whose proportion would be equally small for both bad and good deeds?
For both the good and the bad deeds, the physical major part of the deed needs to be created existentially, and then it needs a smaller contribution of the people's partial will to be acted out. For example, giving an apple to a poor person is a favor. The major part of its benefit, the of this favor needs to be created, it comes from Allah.
The apple, one's own body, the man's body, the feeling of wanting to help and the feeling of hunger being satisfied are said to have been created.
If someone stabs another person with a knife in a fight, for the act to take place, the material physical conditions first created by Allah were also required: the knife, one's own body, the man's body, the feeling of anger, as well as the feeling of the man's pain and sorrow would have been created. And then a small part of the murderers own will would bring it into action.
Both bad and good can be caused sometimes actively and sometimes passively. Passively, by refraining from the other.
By not doing the good, I can allow more bad to happen. By not doing the bad, I can allow more good happen. Here, too, the existentially created part is equally high in both, and the part of our partial will is small.
In both cases, the main reason for the occurrence would be with the creator. If the part of the human's will, that is influenced by Allah's communicated consent to the good, his message to do good and abstain from bad, makes up the smaller proportion of good deeds, it also makes up the smaller proportion of bad deeds, doesn't it?
      Best regards

When Allah's (SWT) love for His human beings is greater than the love of 70 human mothers combined, how can He put us into the miseries of life? A mother would never want her child to suffer from any kind of pain, moreover she would do anything possible for her to minimize her child's pains and sufferings. How can Allah SWT (for whom everything is possible) Himself make human beings go through this painful life? Is testing us in this world more important for Him than His own love for us?
How can He let Iblees play his filthy tricks to corrupt human beings when He loves us so much? Instead of testing our love for Him (our faith and our deeds), why doesn't He love us unconditionally without these tests and trials just like a mother...? Or He doesn't love us like a mother...? Or He just loves us like a king loves his slaves?

    🔴 *Pious Copyists* 🔴
*-David A. deSilva. **_An Introduction to the New Testament: Contexts, Methods & Ministry Formation._** InterVarsity Press, pp: 402-403:*
The Gospels, like all ancient books, were reproduced manually. For every church that wanted to have access to the Gospel of Luke, there was a copyist at work (whether a skilled believer or a professional copyist) reproducing a manuscript word by word. Copyists were not afraid to “improve” the text if they encountered a problem, whether a grammatical mistake, a stylistic infelicity or a concept or reference requiring a brief explanation. We often find, not surprisingly, scribal attempts at harmonization-assimilating one Evangelist’s version of a saying to the version familiar to the scribe. This is nowhere more obvious than in the attempts by many scribes to bring Luke’s version of the Lord’s Prayer in line with Matthew’s version, the form the prayer was known and said in the churches (also preserved in the Didache, a late-first-century or early-second-century church manual). Resistance to difference and internal contradiction runs deep. A copyist familiar with the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Jewish Scriptures, might also tend to “correct” quotations of Scripture as he copied a Gospel to make the quotation conform to the Old Testament more closely or attempt to make better sense out of the text.

    Hello! 😊
I have a question which is more related to the purpose of creation and I couldn't find an answer to it yet.
Allah is said to be perfect.
How is it understandable from human reasoning, that this want, this intention to create us arose from a perfect God?
We as humans, as living beings, do have wants in order to attain something to improve our existence.
It is explained God created us to choose to worship Him, instead of worship without choice as the archangels would do, He wanted someone to chosenly worship Him. He solely created us for His pleasure.
But how can a perfect God want something? He doesn't need us, but wants us. But how can he have a want?
He can't be improved upon, he can't be made happier or have an improvement from anything if he is already perfect in every sense.
Thank you in advance for answering if you find the occasion to do so. :)

What makes me wonder a lot is when eternal tormenting punishment of disbelievers is argued to be justified by the obviousness and certainty Islam presented. Whereas when I argue that we cannot claim to gain the absolute truth in any area and cannot prove or disprove the supernatural with science, sometimes the argument arises that this is exactly the point - whether you can believe in the unseen or not. But whether you believe or not is not a conscious decision or choice, it's a feeling. It isn't in someone's power if they feel convinced or unconvinced of a certain notion of the world. You may decide to read, research and feed yourself with information, but you cannot decide purposely: "Now, I am going to believe in Islam." Or "Now, I tell myself to be convinced of Christianity." You can decide you are going to research, or have your Shahada, or join a religious community. But what you feel convinced of is an inner intention you may lead to certain areas of possibilities, but something oneself doesn't control with their will. Therefore I wonder what the purpose of a creation of human beings in order to test their faith would be. If we eventually cannot decide willingly about it, just influence it to a certain extent, what would be the point of putting someone into this test, who eventually disbelieves and then punish them for something they couldn't have decided anyway. If we eventually do not decide the result of that test, but the feeling which Allah gives us or seals our heart from, why should Allah punish us for the result if the final decision was not up to us but rather by what He made us feel?

Why does wanting something equal imperfection exactly? Secondly why god decides to do something can only be known through revelation. The purpose of the cake can be to eat, shown off or to throw at someone. But you would never know unless I reveal the intention why. Also why god does something doesn’t negate his existence. That would be pure emotion.

@@zphre7548 But He created the possibility for both good and bad deeds to happen on earth and enabled us to do them. He gave us a the ability of making choices. Without the creator neither bad nor good deeds would exist.
If you argue that the credit for good deeds should be given to the Creator since the physical major part of the deed needs to be created existentially, and then it needs a smaller contribution of the people's partial will to be acted out, that is both case for the good and the bad deeds.
And then a small part of the murderers own will would bring it into action, both if he was told to commit the crime or to abstain from it.
In both cases, the main reason for the occurrence is with the creator. If the part of the human's will, that is influenced by Allah's communicated consent to the good, his message to do good and abstain from bad, makes up the smaller proportion of good deeds, it also makes up the smaller proportion of bad deeds. Therefore I wonder why to give an almighty Creator only credit for the good and not for the bad.

I can sum up my point about constructivism this way:
If we cannot gain certainty about whether Islam or any other belief in the supernatural is true or not, there is no determinable right and wrong in terms of belief. If everything we use to come to a conclusion about it is part of our limited perception, there is always a possibility for reality to be different from what we think it is.
And that's ok. That's possible to deal with.
Feeling more convinced of one or the other belief system is not doing any perceivable harm in the life here and now and about a possible hereafter we can only speculate, it's outside of this life.
But when we accept that reality, especially in regards of the supernatural, can be different from what we think it is, it also includes that the ones having a different religious notion than ourselves can be equally wrong or right.
