I am an artist who also had a dyslexia. As a kid I would find it frustrating when a teacher would forced us to read this book aloud. It felt like an attack. Look back I finally understand how much this taught me to persevere. I still cant believe how much this child book influenced my life.
We met Ms. Polacco at Barnes & Noble last year. Delighted to meet her, talked to her a little at the signing table and my daughter asked her if Erik ever apologized for saying those cruel words...sadly he never did.

Usually a page or two at a time so I don't make errors. Using iMovie or any other video editing program. I input the voice first. Then I add the pictures to match the words. Sound effects come next. The background music is the last step. I hope this helps. I've been asked by colleagues to hold a pd on this but I haven't yet.
