You would be surprised how very real this is. Empty and abandoned ships are still being found on the open sea. Some leaving more questions than answers.
Private security here, I guard some ships like this while they are in drydock and get to go on them, I work graveyard hours and yeah, some of these ships are creepy, I enjoy it, but man is it weird to walk on or in these behemoths and not see anyone around. I will say the layout of most ships I go on are pretty universal and this game makes little sense in that manner, of the layout anyhow, but it's not hard to get lost, and the ships make noises and such all the time, equipment coming online and back off again, sometimes it's just the skeleton crew walking through the lower or upper layers, but yeah definitely watching this will change the way I think about the liminal spaces I end up going through on these ships.
The only streamer I watch anymore. Great personality, easily terrified, enjoys what he does. Fooster is the goat of goats. 😊 I find myself every day craving a horror upload from fooster for the epic gasps and jump scares. And I'm very disappointed when I don't get one 😂 So happy for this video and it's length !!!!! 30 min vids just leave me starving for more! ❤
@@dvirset I also watched him play it! But the one I saw was the demo version 😄 he uploads so often which I love. You played the game too?! This one jumped me a couple times.. Fooster and Hollow are extremely likable, they have a charm about them. I found Fooster maybe three weeks ago and I started watching his videos too! I like how they both play horror games.
At 26:02 Fooster says "alright we got the screwdriver so we can get the vent open now" the moment before he turns to the right to peak into the room, in the open doorway at the far end you can see a foot step into the frame from the right side.
I believe this story has something to do with Davy Jones’s locker, oh and the movie you was talking about is Deep Rising, It’s one of my favorite movies ever, it’s about a sea monster taking over a casino cruise liner and modern-day pirates planning on robbing it, but by the time they got there, everyone on the ship was completely gone, eaten by the monster and they have to try and escape before they meet the same fate.
Great playthrough! Those statue dudes gave me chills! The game looks fun, and I hope they make a sequel, but I feel like there needs to be more of a penalty for getting caught. The big hook guy is totally not threatening. In fact, I thought his little old timey diving helmet made him look quite amiable. The statues starting to catch you was creepy, but just became more of an inconvenince than anything. The spiders... I could've done without. I don't feel like they were necessary.
Absolutely. Trying to peek before entering a room, looking behing "just in case", the scared but "quiet" commenting (instead of the typical over-dramatic guy that just screams like a maniac at any opportunity there is). This is cool!
They absolutely nailed the horror atmosphere here. The pure relief in Fooster's voice when he realized that Simon was heading back at 1:44:12 was palpable.
The legend back at making you be jumping at every small thing. Its so tense and being alone on a ship and things chasing you. Id rather jump in water and die
At 14:46 when Fooster says “hello?” Not only did that shadow around the corner trigger, but whatever was moving in the water below also stopped moving at that exact moment.
Given the fog and inability to communicate like they're in a different dimension, it's possible there's a time distortion akin to what was reported experienced in the Bermuda Triangle. Time don't work the same way there.
1:49:14 i burst out laughing, in all that stress of being chased by the big guy, it was funny as hell when you didn’t have anything with you yet to make it work and music came to a full stop as well 😂😂 that was some looney tunes shit right there lol
This is a pet peeve to me in games like this. It's why I prefer it when the game doesn't give you the logical out of the helicopter. No one in their right mind would stay on a ship like this lol.
@@TheRDRipley The ship was on lockdown. He could not get out even if he wanted. He had to go to the bridge and disable to lockdown so he can exit to the deck.
@@TheRDRipley Because the in-game character is stupid. He could have called for backup to arrive. Also, it is extremely unrealistic for one person to attempt a rescue mission on such a large ship. Realistically, at least a squad is needed. The game is not really good in the realism department.
There is something about Fooster, a sense of serenity and calm that tells me he is the protagonist in should always listen to if i were ever in a hypothetical horror situation like this
games should have more ingame voice interactions, similar to Phasmophobia, imagining Fooster saying "Hello" and a voice replying with saying "no", or any other messed up lines that could freak people more off.
Awesome. I’m glad that you are back in this boat. Others play this game on TH-cam, but there’s something about the way that you talk during the game that’s pretty cool.
I'm literally only an hour in and I have got to say that I have NEVER been so freaking tense before when watching a game!! There have been one or maybe two that have come close to first, but this takes the absolute cake!! I'm so glad that you did the full game! Especially since that means I don't have to spend tons of money to find out the ending, lol. Wish me luck, I'm gonna try and finish the video now.
So glad to see you followed up! Loved the first part! Thank you! And I do hope, one day, a developer puts in a special voice response just for you when you say - "Hello." About your question if it's that creepy? I haven't seen old ones, but I've watch reviews from people on TH-cam who use freighter travel to get around. You can rent a passenger cabin on these and take the very long way to just about anywhere. In those videos, it looks very modern and nothing creepy at all. The storms are the most scary I guess. ;)
I watched a video after I recorded this where someone had the job of checking an area of a ship that had recent repairs and it was horrible. So many twists and turns and it seemed like he was completely alone even though he wasn’t 😂
To answer your question: No, in real life containerships arent really this monstrously scary. Matter of fact: anyone working on one will tell you the layout of this ship makes absolutely NO sense. There arent this many rooms, corridors etcetere. In RL it's the superstructure + engine room. The rest of it is cargospace where you cant easilly get into + a small paint or mechanics room somewhere. This ship has waaay to many rooms in places that should just be boring empty cargo space. Also: a typical crew on a large container vessel consists of maybe 20+ people, not like a hundred. The ship in this game also seems to be a bulk carrier, yet there are loose containers strapped on the deck. None of this ships layout makes any sense. A cargo ship looks big, but the actual living space is quite small. It's all about the cargo. Think of is as a very, very large truck. It's a fantastical video game ship.
I would love to see you try The Forbidden City. There are golden statues that look at you when you look away. I don't want to say too much more to spoil anything, but it has several small but amazing plot twists.
As a person who watches a LOT of gameplay content (since I'm too much of a coward to play horror games myself), I genuinely enjoy your videos for the authenticity. You actually sound terrified when being chased!
This is some actually good horror... It's not just a bunch of cheap jumpscares and a bunch of random deaths to make you replay sections a million times.
My only complaint about this game, right off the bat, is that you are in a storm, at night, exploring an apparently abandoned ship... And your character doesn't bring a flashlight. I can't fathom that.
49:00 As a ham radio enthousiast, I can confirm that meteorological conditions, ionospheric conditions, solar flares, condition and type of antenna all have an influence on radio signals, causing situations where you can hear the other person but they cannot hear you and viceversa. Transmitting on my inverted v dipole, I can be heard all the way in Europe from here in Ecuador, but sometimes I can't hear the other person because of my antenna not quite being in the right position to capture the signal properly.
I found out something interesting, if you crouch and move near one of the statues that supposed to scare you, it won't. If you stand and move near one of those statues, it will.
You wouldn’t be able to stand next to those engines without ear protection if they were that size. The ones on the big dredges I work on are decent sized and you are required to wear hearing protection as prolonged exposure can cause major hearing damage.
dude, one of Fooster's main thing about these horror games is he always shouts "HELLOOOO? IS ANYONE HERE???" And this is the super tactical/rp guy who plays survival games too.
Actually, that sounds reasonable theory, since Stephen Sommers wanted to do a King Kong movie at one point. He directed "Deep Rising", "The Mummy" and "Van Helsing"
As someone who's name is Simon, I'm glad you're the person who is searching the ship and not me😂 I just got to the part where he says, "Where's Simon?" And all I'm thinking is he's taking his time talking to people, maybe even having a snack😂
57:09 Deep Rising yes ❤ I love that movie 😁 awesome video Fooster soooo many jump scares lol the ones where the are at the doors peaking really get me.
1:52:51 damn that really got me. And yes @Fooster that is the engine, and the rotating 'pin' you almost feel into when shuffling along the ledge. Thats the driveshaft from the engine to the propeller. And yes, they are that huge. Its a huge ship ;)
I love listening to Foo while I'm sleeping. One of his videos started playing while I was napping earlier and I ended up having a really bizarre dream with him in it. 😂
My heart barely got through the first video you did on this game LOL! Those statues/mannequins... If it was up to me, this investigation would have been over before it even started. "Welp, no signs of life, I guess we're done here". UPDATE: Yeah NOPE, I am removing my headphones and listening through speakers. I even KNEW there was a mannequin in that locker that "peeks" out in the beginning but with all of the creepy sounds along with it (that you can't hear as well through speakers), I nearly threw my mouse. NEVER drink or eat while watching a Fooster video. That's my PSA for today. You will either laugh so hard you spray your monitor with soda or jump so hard you'll choke. Yep, done them both. 😂 Sorry this is a long comment but WHO IS THE GUY WHO WOULD KEEP INVESTINGATING AFTER SEEING A STONE MANNEQUIN WALK!!!!! Show me THIS guy!

oh, I think the demo playthrough of this game was the first video of yours I ever watched! That's when I subscribed! It's so lovely to see you actually return and finish the complete game! This is wonderful, thank you!
Had to take this one over multipul days. It wasn't over the top, more, it was the atmosphere. I like that we didn't fully understand the big guy with the hook, and we really didn't get to see the spider thing. What was that snake/tenticle thing!! So many good moments of not jump scare. Loved it!!
I am amazed by this game. It is soo real. I have worked all my life with machines, but I have never been aboard cargo ship. All the equipment, the pipes, ladders, cables, hatches, all the machinery and technical stuff, this is really great. More such games please. Thumbs up.
This was great and as I used to work on large ships like that...I can tell you that those sounds in the ship thay sounds like something in the wall is actually kind of real. The ship flexes in the sea and as the metals a stressed they make noises. It is scary and when the ship goes dark. All you have is red lights in certain sections to not bothers those who are trying to sleep.
Loved this entire playthrough. Literally couldn't handle the jump scares but it was quite comforting knowing that you were also getting the heebeejeebees scared out of you😅 Great watch! 👏
I think a video like this is a great vehicle of opportunity for having a special guest commentary from a skill expert? If Fooster was in a VTuber character on one side of the screen, and the expert was on webcam on the other side of the screen, and the game was playing in the middle on a muted volume, I'd love to hear the expert talk about ship stuff while reacting to the monsters! I think we could call this segment "After The Game with _____".
Fooster, it's awesome to hear about your granddad. His job must have been scary. To learn an awesome skill from your granddad must have been an great experience.
Working in the death care industry, I can tell you that these people have recently been killed. Decomposition happens immediately after death, once the metabolism is no longer functioning the enzymes start eating the body. Theres no way these bodies would be this pristine unless there were freezing temps or died recently (Less than 2 days) . However, those headless ones are decomposing at a pretty surprising rate (Slower than usual), if there were freezing temps those flys wouldn't be around unless the lower ship is warmer and why are there only flys on the headless ones, they must've been dead longer which would make the other bodies dead for just a couple hours. 🤔

You would be surprised how very real this is. Empty and abandoned ships are still being found on the open sea. Some leaving more questions than answers.
Not really bro 😂 keep believing reddit and creepy pasta
😊
I find myself every day craving a horror upload from fooster for the epic gasps and jump scares.
And I'm very disappointed when I don't get one 😂
So happy for this video and it's length !!!!!
30 min vids just leave me starving for more!
❤
Seems you have missed out on Dylan Mulvaney.
You should check out Hollow. I found him last summer and he’s the main person I go to for gaming videos. He also uploads every 1-2 days.
@@kittysuzieyeah I watched him play this game and even played it myself.
@@johanea bruh what’s this even mean in this context?
I can appreciate the fact that “Weeping Angels” or their equivalent are making it into more stuff
1:02:40 “If those things could actively move-“ *Statue moves* 😂
It was like, *wish granted*
At 26:02 Fooster says "alright we got the screwdriver so we can get the vent open now" the moment before he turns to the right to peak into the room, in the open doorway at the far end you can see a foot step into the frame from the right side.
I noticed that!
Had to play the vid at .25 to see it, dang
I believe this story has something to do with Davy Jones’s locker, oh and the movie you was talking about is Deep Rising, It’s one of my favorite movies ever, it’s about a sea monster taking over a casino cruise liner and modern-day pirates planning on robbing it, but by the time they got there, everyone on the ship was completely gone, eaten by the monster and they have to try and escape before they meet the same fate.
The Endurance was actually a real ship that sank on November 21st 1915 after it was crushed by ice in Antarctica. The shipwreck was found in 2022.
Poor Fooster needs a like and a comment for all the angst he has put himself through. For my part, my heart was in my throat a few times.
i really loves how he moves in the game as if he's in real life. it feels like i'm watching a vlog instead. so engaging!
Ikr
Absolutely.
Trying to peek before entering a room, looking behing "just in case", the scared but "quiet" commenting (instead of the typical over-dramatic guy that just screams like a maniac at any opportunity there is). This is cool!
I was thinking the same thing I get that vibe off fooster he’s the best
They absolutely nailed the horror atmosphere here. The pure relief in Fooster's voice when he realized that Simon was heading back at 1:44:12 was palpable.
Fooster: "The cameraman never dies."
Death: "And I took that personally."
Love ya, Foost
Dude, when that body gets pulled back in the vent. Made me gasp a bit. That is absolutely terrifying. That sound of it being pulled is 😮.
The legend back at making you be jumping at every small thing. Its so tense and being alone on a ship and things chasing you. Id rather jump in water and die
The guy in orange. At this point I’m not even scared anymore. I just want yell at them. “What do you want?!”
At 14:46 when Fooster says “hello?” Not only did that shadow around the corner trigger, but whatever was moving in the water below also stopped moving at that exact moment.
For a ship that’s been missing for 4 years those bodies and blood seem pretty damn fresh.
I think he felt sorry for me 😂
@@thefoosterchannel lol, poor guy was so second hand embarrassed that he had to leave the room 😂
@ 12:00 IRL - Me: "Simon... I'm coming out, they're all dead...." Game over. lol
This is a pet peeve to me in games like this. It's why I prefer it when the game doesn't give you the logical out of the helicopter. No one in their right mind would stay on a ship like this lol.
But he bodies are still warm and loose@@TheRDRipley
@@TheRDRipley The ship was on lockdown. He could not get out even if he wanted. He had to go to the bridge and disable to lockdown so he can exit to the deck.
@Logical.Psychopath yes but he has a radio. Why didn't he communicate before his buddy left?
Im glad fooster uploaded because I’m going on a 16 hour flight from London to America
You flying to Cali or do you have some layovers? Hope your flight goes well!
@@missdirethanks you and no it’s just one long flight
Yeah u better download this video, good luck and take care (:
Hope it’s a nice relaxed flight!
Then all the air plane crew turned to stone. 😂
So glad to see you followed up! Loved the first part! Thank you! And I do hope, one day, a developer puts in a special voice response just for you when you say - "Hello."
About your question if it's that creepy?
"If you lock me in, I'm fine with that"
And that's when the lights go dark... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was wondering if you heard about Evil West? A western supernatural third-person shooter. It’s online co-op I think you and Fisk will find enjoyment.
The fact that you match the atmosphere with your voice echoing makes it so much creepier.
Wow! The intensity of the game and how long they keep you on edge made this feel a lot longer than 2 hours. Thanks for sharing!
I would love to see you try The Forbidden City. There are golden statues that look at you when you look away. I don't want to say too much more to spoil anything, but it has several small but amazing plot twists.
I can't get passed the "I'm super clenched right now. I could snap a pencil no problem " 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just fyi it’s past 😃
As a person who watches a LOT of gameplay content (since I'm too much of a coward to play horror games myself), I genuinely enjoy your videos for the authenticity. You actually sound terrified when being chased!
Not me trying to paint miniatures getting jump scared 😂 can't wait for the next video!
same here, almost knocked my shade over ,
@@gravewalker8723 no, not the shade
😂 oh no!
This is some actually good horror... It's not just a bunch of cheap jumpscares and a bunch of random deaths to make you replay sections a million times.
Yes sir Deep Rising...Where the tentacles were more terrifiing than what they were attached to 😂
23:59 oh yeah bro, hiding from Davey Jones in his locker.
If he ever makes merch, we need a shirt that says “press all the button”
It’s his catch phrase now
My only complaint about this game, right off the bat, is that you are in a storm, at night, exploring an apparently abandoned ship...
@fooster your right it was called deep rising..great film!! Those tentacle creatures where brutal!!
Yes! Super stupid but a great creature flick 😂
@@thefoosterchannel right 🤣 one of my many favorite water creature flicks! You should check out Monstrum!
dude, one of Fooster's main thing about these horror games is he always shouts "HELLOOOO? IS ANYONE HERE???" And this is the super tactical/rp guy who plays survival games too.
"Deep Rising" is the name of that movie.
Some people want to say that it was like a prequel for "Skull Island" believe it or not.
Actually, that sounds reasonable theory, since Stephen Sommers wanted to do a King Kong movie at one point. He directed "Deep Rising", "The Mummy" and "Van Helsing"
I was cleaning up dinner and the jump scare at 27:49 literally made me fall over. Scared the daylights out of me.
😂
Haha it was the best he was really ready for adventure rushing out and HELLO! 😂😂
@patrikcrazyman9678 right?!
As someone who's name is Simon, I'm glad you're the person who is searching the ship and not me😂
I just got to the part where he says, "Where's Simon?" And all I'm thinking is he's taking his time talking to people, maybe even having a snack😂
57:09 Deep Rising yes ❤ I love that movie 😁 awesome video Fooster soooo many jump scares lol the ones where the are at the doors peaking really get me.
Is that the one with a girl sucked into a toilet scene? 😰
@@arudoshirogane4774Yep.
1:52:51 damn that really got me.
And yes @Fooster that is the engine, and the rotating 'pin' you almost feel into when shuffling along the ledge. Thats the driveshaft from the engine to the propeller. And yes, they are that huge. Its a huge ship ;)
You always post scary stuff as I’m going to bed. Absolutely still going to watch. I’ll sleep tomorrow😂
You can sleep when you aren't alive anymore 😂😂
I love listening to Foo while I'm sleeping. One of his videos started playing while I was napping earlier and I ended up having a really bizarre dream with him in it. 😂
Sorry Kaylie 😂
Sorry this is a long comment but WHO IS THE GUY WHO WOULD KEEP INVESTINGATING AFTER SEEING A STONE MANNEQUIN WALK!!!!! Show me THIS guy!
the movie you are asking about was indeed Deep Rising, I loved that movie, and had set up for a sequel but never got one 😞 unfortunately....
A Part 2 of this game would definitely make sense. And I would love to have Fooster get this revisited if that day may come.
Kudos as always!
1:48:45 that big fecker is crazy looking man, i would absolutely soil myself 10 fold if i seen that fecker in real life lmao. great video fooster, always love sitting back and relaxing to some of your content after a busy work day. much love dude, looking forward to the next video!!
I crack up everytime I hear "It's like a chestburster on steroids." xD Enjoying the long videos Fooster, appreciate you mate.
2 hour video?? Thank you SO much for posting!! What a treat, Fooster!!
I love how every decision you've made in terms of bricking it, is exactly how I'd react. Tense just watching!!
One of these days, man.... You're gonna yell "HELLO" down a creepy corridor, and something is gonna respond XD
"He's just slapped the lips off my face" lmfao 😂 love your videos dude, keep them coming!
The beginning of this game reminds me of the move Ghost Ship (2002)
DUDE what a ride!! I was on the edge of my seat the whole 2 hours! LOL What an amazing video. I don't play those horror games, but man I sure love watching you play them, Fooster! Thanks for taking us along!
The movie was indeed deep rising, came out in 1998 and me as a 12yo boy watched it and pissed myself, havent been on a ship since, fuck that, fuck that to hell haha
oh, I think the demo playthrough of this game was the first video of yours I ever watched! That's when I subscribed! It's so lovely to see you actually return and finish the complete game! This is wonderful, thank you!
Game: Here's a basic game mechanic you'll need to use often.
Fooster: Where we're going, we don't need mechanics!
I'm not even a fan of gameplay videos, but I was looking for info on this game and I got HOOKED! Lol.
Thanks for this!
The way he casually ropes down the heli without gloves is just crazy
Yes! The demo was one of the first Fooster videos I watched and ultimately led me to decide to subscribe. I’m glad to see the full game! ❤
Had to take this one over multipul days. It wasn't over the top, more, it was the atmosphere. I like that we didn't fully understand the big guy with the hook, and we really didn't get to see the spider thing. What was that snake/tenticle thing!! So many good moments of not jump scare. Loved it!!
YESSSS! I was so hoping that you are gonna continue playing this game as i read the title!
