I also did mesh in the scoop. I also did it on the front by the front tires, and the body of the rear wheel wells. And the intake pieces

Try using EZ-Off spray oven cleaner to remove the chrome (or old paint) from your pieces. Just spray it on and give it a day. Depending on the detail of the parts, you might need to reapply. Using an old toothbrush also helps.

The one I got didn't get the backdrop. I got a resin batman figure

Thats wierd, the resin figure should be with the batwing.

do you have to sand it down? Is it required?

Only where you glue & fill mainly, a little excess of flash from the manufacturing process here & there.

What do you use as a filler? Sorry if that is a dumb question

Hi Joeman, i use normal household filler 151 from the poundshop. Easy to sand.
