I use an Xbox controller and the way I spam grapple is by putting the face of my thumb on X and the bottom of my knuckle on the A and bend my thumb rapidly
I wouldn't say either keyboard or controller is better, it is just a matter of building up memory muscle with one or the other. As you said there are high level players in both so I would say that it is down to player preference.
Rikaro i would reference up to ismaeel which plays with controller and is diamond. His perspective leads to "easier to spam grapple" with keyboard, but for me is about preference indeed.
Rikaro also Graphiqnez said that controller is "limited". All of this leads me to a point where this "limit" must be about using your thumb for multiple buttons.
Rikaro yeah it's just easier to spam grapple on the keyboard, mostly because you end up breaking controllers with spam grappling and my glue keeps coming out from my buttons
Mr. Chicken™ i had to change them because of ghosting from the older laptop. For example, when i pressed a key, the other key wouldnt work like using items while sliding. So this is how i got used to it.

I've never had that problem before, it's normally my boost the breaks or that my shitty computer won't accept the controller anymore.
I used my finger for the swing grapple with a controller

Randomness now you got a keyboard with anti-ghosting? I just have anti-ghosting on W-A-S-D keys which sucks...
