Its actually not that hard to do a high note like that, because in singing there is something called your real and "fake" voice, when doing a high pitch note that you cant really do with your real voice, instead of screaming and potentially having a voice crack, its easier to do it with your "fake" voice.
@ShadowLTM are you talking about chest and head voice? xD I've never heard it referred to as a fake voice before. The only voices i refer to as fake are autotune

you do realize that "oh whoa" and "hey" are american english words, don't you? cause i certainly do. but maybe you missed them in the lyrics for the song. but the song is japaneese with american english words mixed in it.

I stumbled upon this cover recently as I was looking for mashups of this song, and I wanted to say I really like it. The few notes at start reminded me of a recent anime ED, and while the anime was subpar at best, this song I think would’ve represented one of the characters.

Guess it's because we can't understand it ( + it doesn't sound similar to our mother/official language)
Take me as an example, I thought russian was kind of boring then I learnt english which was at that time pretty sounding in my opinion
Years after I learnt english, it also became kinda boring to me. I started listening to english/japanese/russian/german/french covers of the songs
Was surprised that russian could sound so damn beautiful and the words were so elegant, same could be said about german which I thought sounded harsh
So I think it just depends on how you listen to songs, regularly like you always do or try to listen to it like someone who doesn't know english, hope u understand what I mean °v°
