Its a mystery to me why they decided to put the jacks at the bottom of the 8+ besides that I love mine.

I think they corrected their ways with the VB and varigate 4+. Would be lovely if they had a hardware revision of the VG.

The Varigate 8+ is amazing! The interface feels intuitive which is a draw for me. I’m learning that I enjoy modules with too many deep dive menus less and less as I get more experienced.

Nice. It looks like it would be more ergonomic (with the patches) if this module was placed at the top instead of the bottom. Is there a something I am not considering?

I totally agree with this comment. I love my Malekko's, but the patching located at the bottom of the V8 makes for a mess. I wish these patch points were at the top like the Voltage block. These modules are deep and I'm always digging through my patching to see what I've done to myself.

What happened with the Mr.D drum machine?

Can anyone describe what CV interpolation mode does (clock/master/cv/slave switch) on the Voltage Block ? I'm thinking it would allow the sequencer to be advanced or clocked by a change in cv level w maybe a minimum change of a semitone ( like how a Braids can be triggered by a change in cv.). The manual really doesn't say anything about it . It does describe how the hold function changes in cv mode but not how the clock input function changes.

The CV "interpolation" mode allows the CLK/CV input jack to accept control voltages for stage addressing rather than using a clock to advance through stages. In short, a low voltage will select a low-numbered stage, high voltage will choose a high-numbered stage, etc. This allows for creation of nonlinear sequences: for instance, a triangle LFO will yield a pendulum-like pattern, a random voltage will randomly select stages, etc. This CV can be processed by the built in offset and attenuator knobs, allowing you to hone in on a particular range of stages for the incoming CV to "choose from."

As far as we know a Malekko drum machine is still in the works. We are excited to hear it when it is out!
