- HOW TO stain concrete:
FIRST, I started this project by removing the old tile. After removal I was left with glue and old backer from previous linoleum. I then started grinding the concrete with my 7inch angle grinder and a diamond wheel to begin the process of resurfacing. Keeping the grinder moving is key to prevent gouging After cleaning the floor multiple times I then applied muriatic acid and cleaned the floor multiple times again. I then let the floor dry over night. Finally, I taped off the walls and applied 2 coats of BEHR concrete stain. After applying I wiped up the excess stain with a paper towel. Applied 4 coats of clear coat.
Comment ⬇️ if you know of an epoxy clear coat for overtop of the stain. I’m not sold on the Behr clear coat.

Honestly looks great bro, these comments about it being ugly is crazy. I’m gonna use this method to do my porch thanks.
I have a better product for top coat, haven’t had time to make video. Look into Ez concrete in Lima Ohio.
I enjoy you showing the process, but honestly that brown splotchy stain makes the floor look kinda nasty. Bathrooms are usually a place where people like to feel clean and a brown stained concrete floor is quite the opposite look. If you're really intent in having a concrete floor bathroom then probably put down a layer of concrete floor leveler, light gray color, to raise up that floor a bit and fill in those cracks. Maybe add some decorative floor flakes if you're feeling artsy.
Probably would look better if you patched the concrete spots first... fun learning via your experience.
Yes I agree. This was my first time. Will improve on the next one thanks for watching.
I’ve never tried staining concrete, I’m currently debating either a stain or a 2 part epoxy for my patio area. I did the 2 part epoxy in my garage and it came out beautiful, can easily wipe any mess up also. I’ve watched a few staining videos, I’m leaning towards the epoxy again 🤔
What color did you use it looks great
What color was that ?
I don't get it.... That's a lot of work for something so ugly🤔 Sorry, but it really is ugly.
Thanks. This was my first attempt at staining concrete. I’m working on improving and appreciate the comment. Color options are endless with this product. Looking for a different top coat/ clear and want to fill the voids before staining.
It's an industrial look, it's not supposed to look "pretty".
Very very curious as to why you didn’t just get a single bag of levelling concrete and pour it over. I’m so confused. When I was watching I felt like you had a special bond with the original concrete, maybe gave it a name like ugly duck…. Just having so much faith that it could be beautiful one day. I admired your determination and work ethic… but you would have saved a LOT of time if you skipped the tender loving care, all that prep…and just dumped a bucket of coloured concrete over it.
What color is that?
