I created a scale for weeaboos. Each entry is based on how much Japanese the individual knows. The further up on the scale is proportionate to how less of a stereotypical weeaboo you are. Someone who regularly watches Japanese media dubbed in their native tongue and never switches over the original. No exposure to the language. Someone who watches it subtitled but makes no attempt to learn the language. Might pick up a few words, but is likely to mishear and mispronounce them. Someone who tries to learn it. This is a very long process. Many might never progress and be stuck here like the Rasengan guy while others get on the right path and eventually move onto the next entry. Someone who can understand dialogue with Japanese captions turned on. Very close to fluent. Someone who can understand dialogue without captions. Functionally fluent, victory. Someone who has moved to Japan and functions as part of their society. Obviously has to speak, read, and write in the language to do so. The ultimate dream for hardcore weeaboos that few ever accomplish.
