Gina has helped elevate this band from being pretty good, to being nothing short of amazing. Seriously, the interplay between her and John not just on guitar, but vocally, too, has really pushed the band into a league of their own. Seb and Nick, who don't get enough recognition in my opinion, are both phenomenal players, too, and their rock solid foundation gives Gina and John the chance to really shine.
“Hey this is Gina from Baroness, it’s not too crazy” It’s incredibly impressive, thought out and so much expression & talent. For me it’s everything. The notes to subdivisions light my fire - I feel alive. Every morning for the past 5 months with possibly only a few days missed - I have played this song just for your solo. There’s some craziness to that.
MORE OF THIS PLEASE!!!! 🥺The fact I've looking for tabs to this exact song and didn't find anyone playing this exactly as Gina is Blowing My Mind!!!! Then to have Gina herself teach us the solo.....!?!?!?!? 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Gina Kicks ass! 💪
This solo is probably my favourite part of the record. I love how forward it is in the mix. Great to hear how Gina's choosing the notes, whether they're chord tones or deliberately out. More like this!
I got into baroness because of mastodon, now Gina is introducing some hybrid picking into that would make brent proud! Love it , this last album was amazing!
amazing solo and great breakdown. thanks for joining Baroness Gina you really made me come back to them after I had some years off after blue. great work on the new record anyway
Not lying when I say you and this solo are what sent me over the top with the band. Was a peripheral Baroness fan, for sure, but have since become obsessed. Keep rockin', Gina!
Wow your left hand technique is amazing. Doing those michael shencker runs at the beginning on a tele can't be easy. Never thought of using my finger on those types of runs though. I'm going to try it.
This is so good. I definitely picked up on the van Halen / Akkerman parallel shapes across the neck, and intentional or no, there's also some Randy Rhoads in there. *I really love this solo.* It's like a full meal :-D
Yes, a small part of the run is reminiscent of the Mr Crowley solo. I heard it the first time I listened to the song. It's cool she did this vid. She's a killer guitar player.
Yea that bit is really nice, instantly got a classical vibe like Passacaglia inspired kind of but hitting that major at the end giving it that metal vibe
Ever considered putting out an artist approved tab book? More tutorials would also be so cool, Gina is such a good teacher and an awesome contribution to an already great band
I am Missing you in Rochester NY because i am flying to Grand Rapids where i will also be missing you!!! WHY?!?!?!?! evil fate Watch out for those FOUR SHITTY PILLARS at Essex Rochester NY!
Just heard Last word for the first time and had to lay down on my pillow i swear i drifted off into a more peaceful universe that made more sense than this one then i hit replay like 10 times lol

Baroness is John's band, always has been.
Completely agree with you. This line up of the band is just insane. Love them all so much.

Best solo of 2023
That’s one of my favorite guitar solos I have heard in a long while

This is one of the best solos I've ever heard. Absolutely rips!
She is an absolute amazing player, respect ✊
The Music and the music theory breakdown are INCREDIBLE! More Baroness music de/construction vids PLEASE
I got into baroness because of mastodon, now Gina is introducing some hybrid picking into that would make brent proud! Love it , this last album was amazing!

This lady is the best female guitarist I've ever seen in my 48 years.
She's awesome
gina! 😍 and an amazing talent… this solo is very very good and tasteful composed…
Not lying when I say you and this solo are what sent me over the top with the band. Was a peripheral Baroness fan, for sure, but have since become obsessed. Keep rockin', Gina!
Thanks! And quite insightful, keep stuff like that coming!
Going to be seeing you in Bristol with Graveyard and Pallbearer , can't wait !!!!
Finally a tutorial my god!!!!! I was trying to learn this solo by ear but failed. Thank you !!!
You shred and rock gina!!!
Gina is the bomb! I don’t study musicians so she’s on my top five personal faves along with Randy Rhodes.
That slide at the beginning was so sick!
Excellent teacher. It took me years to realize going up and down two strings at a time would help. And I therefore suck at it lol
So inventive, especially when broken down into parts. You crushed it at Rockville btw.
Perfect! Thanks!
Hope we get some dual guitat playthroughs of different songs

It’s almost like Gina is totally f’ing awesome in every way and one of the greatest pickers in rock, now or at any time in the past!
very cool thanks for doing this
Thank god finally! Best solo i've heard in years!
Gina is my favorite female guitar player. 🎸 ❤
Super cool!!! Thank you!!!!!!
This is awesome. I hope you guys do more of these.
I am so excited for this. Thank you, Gina!
This is amazing. Thank you so much for this. Incredible song and an incredible solo!
Thanks for the walkthrough! Such a masterful solo!
Can't wait to see you play in Des Moines on June 10!
Great hybrid picking.
AWESOME! You are the best!!!
It was amazing to see that song live
Awesome ❤
Wow. Wasn’t expecting this!! Thanks so much 🎉🤯
Awesome video, really shows how much musical thought goes into the solo. Not that I have much chance playing this up to speed!
Gracias Gina
Wow, I still don't know how to play it :P
Cannot wait to see you guys in a couple of weeks in Madison!
Awesome, thanks for sharing 😊
"Not too crazy" LOL :D Monster. See you in November!
Also im subscribed. I got no notification of this video...
Give me a few months and I am confident I still won't be able to play this. Love the explanations though!
Tell me who's the artist that makes your covers design? They're really cool! Greetings from São Paulo🇧🇷

Gina is the best thing to happen to Baroness in years. Sick solo, thanks for the breakdown - love the pedal point bit.
Yea that bit is really nice, instantly got a classical vibe like Passacaglia inspired kind of but hitting that major at the end giving it that metal vibe
Yes🤘❤️
beautiful
Gina Rules!🤘🏻
I dreamed of it Gina did it 🌹
rad
🤘🏽
Oh my it's Gina from Baroness :o
After ripping a crazy solo: "it's not too crazy" 😆
Thought the tuning was different on this track- sick tho, G.
Shredding has NO SOUL!!! PHRASING IS THE ONLY TRUE GUITAR SOLO!!!!!
I thought the solo sounds like Randy Rhoads but now I see it uses the technique of Animals as Leaders ;)
Also....... When is 2 Minutes to Late Night coming back?????
I miss that channel. 😞
Some please make a tab!
I'm a drummer I paid attention like i could play it, and i kind feel that i can (i cant)
Ever considered putting out an artist approved tab book? More tutorials would also be so cool, Gina is such a good teacher and an awesome contribution to an already great band
Guitar Mommy.
I am Missing you in Rochester NY because i am flying to Grand Rapids where i will also be missing you!!! WHY?!?!?!?! evil fate
Watch out for those FOUR SHITTY PILLARS at Essex Rochester NY!
I want to give up guitar😱😆
Just heard Last word for the first time and had to lay down on my pillow i swear i drifted off into a more peaceful universe that made more sense than this one then i hit replay like 10 times lol
The fuck did they do?…. This just isn’t any kind of Baroness sound, not saying they’re bad but this is just like… 80’s hair metal.
