I use aluminum foil to stuff in my broken statues and heavy duty plastic bags I save from my pellets from my pellet stove. I have repaired countless statues made of concrete or resin. I’ve tried quite a few products. 2 part hardners, Plumbers putty, Quickrete, Bondo, plaster of Paris, magic sculpt.
I just play with various products and paints and I love creating and seeing them come to life.
I enjoyed seeing your sculpture come to life.
Amazing, I love that you also love to play and see what works, you sound very creative and it’s wonderful how you have been fixing all the statues, thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed 😊❤️
Thank you for doing air dry videos! There isnt alot of lessons or ideas out there for air dry clay that isn't the same thing over and over and I really appreciate you! Thank you again for putting these great videos out!
@@RedRockingBird 😍 Do you remember how much Pal Tiya you used to make it?
It's such a lovely design! Thanks for sharing 😍
Hello there from Cyprus 🇨🇾 pal Tia don’t sell outside us countries? Only in old colonies, . 🇺🇸 🇦🇺 🇳🇿 🇬🇧 🇺🇸.? I couldn’t find either on amazin% is it like concrete with polymer fibers? It looks amazing product for other projects? Their yet channel has the comments off thanks
Wonderful! I’ve always wanted to make a musical garden sculpture, now my imagination’s running in overdrive!
I loved that, I think I'll have a whole community of faces around my garden.
LOVE this, thanks for sharing the how-to!!!
Thank you, I really enjoyed this, did you see my follow on video where I make some from air dry clay? 😊❤️
This was GREAT!!!! Thanks
Thank you, I really loved this project and it makes me smile every day out in my garden 😁❤️
That came out absolutely amazing! Thank you for the video and the tips throughout.
I’m so happy with it too, thank you. I have just made some from air dry clay as home decor sculptures so that video will be coming out soon 🤍
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I luv how it turned out and thank you for introducing me to a new medium I can experiment with.
It’s happily displayed in my garden too in all this bad weather 😊 thanks, happy creating
Ugh. Why did I watch this video? Now I want to play with the Pal Tiya Premium!! I suppose there's no point in painting them since they are garden sculptures. Thank you!!
No seriously 😂😂 I was in question of the cardboard and foil, and the moment she removed it my mouth dropped open 😂😂
Well done, thank you for sharing. I'm sure all the other types of concrete based clays would work too.
I have been looking for a video like this for months,,,thank you for uploading it
WOW..what a fab product.
Thank you Julia, I’m super proud to display it, lots of compliments already 😁
Your project came out great! The pal tiya premium looks intriguing. Thank you for sharing. Ps. I do love all your air dry clay videos. There is so little quality content on this subject. You hit it out of the park with your ideas, the execution of the idea and your explanation of how to recreate myself. Many, many thanks to you.
Thank you so much, such a lovely comment and really helps me drive forward wanting to create more videos for people like yourself, super thanks, glad you enjoyed this one, all the lovely positive comments are a real boost
Thank you for sharing your lovely ideas with us, the Pal Tiya looks very interesting xx
It really is, I love it, hopefully the summer months will bring another project with this, thank you 😊
Thank you for showing us this product.I have never heard of it,your sculpture looks so cool.
Love this - must experiment with this medium! Thanks much for sharing
Great clear instructions. My first time hearing of Pal Tiya, i'm tempted to try it.
I love this! U make it look easy
Thank you 😊 break it down into steps like this and it is fairly easy
How awesome is this?!!! I've never heard of this product before but am now going to try it for sure! Both for yard art and indoors! Thank you for your knowledge and inspiration! I just now found your channel and I'm intrigued!!!😉 Love your garden face!
Hi WELCOME
Thank you, this was such a fun project, I’m glad you enjoyed 😊❤️
Truly amazing! I love the face, and the whole project. Very clever, very innovative. Thank you for sharing the tutorial and for the inspiration. :)
Love mushrooms for indoors and outdoors.
Your art is stunning. Thank you.
So cool!
Glad you like, I love how it turned out too, some air dry clay variations coming in a video very soon 🤍😊
Your video was super cool to watch and learn from. I have been curious about sculpting for the outdoors and your tutorial has inspired me. Thank you for introducing the product you use. It really seems like what I’ve been looking for. 👍🙋♀️❤️
Hello! I love your art! And I loved this piece! Congratulations! Thank you for sharing! Hugs from Brazil!

8/25/23 FANTASTIC JOB!!!! WELL DONE. BEST THAT I'VE SEEN 👍🏽👍🏽🙏🏾💜
What a great job you did. A lot of work. But the end results were great.
This is exactly what I've been looking for! I love to sculpt clay and this product allows me to creat without a kiln! Your piece really looks great! Thank You!
Excellent tutorial, thank you for sharing ,it turned out really well and looks perfect inside and out.
What an intriguing product Sarah! Thanks for sharing this. I'll be interested what you make in the future from this clay. Cheers 💖
Thank you, I’d love to make an even bigger piece for my garden from this 😊❤️
Absolutely amazing…. Sculpture is truly a fine art…. I’d love to see more projects for inspiration… Always 🫶🏻 viewing your videos
What a lot of work, but it is your own design. Well done!
A very enjoyable process so I don’t necessarily see it as work, I love to have things that are completely unique too, thank you 😊❤️
So beautiul. Thank you for sharing your art. I love how you take time to explain every step. You are an excellent teacher.
I would love to see a demonstration of an Easter island face for a garden I would love to make one!!! I definatly will be trying your garden face idea Thank you!!
Hi, you could follow the same process of the sculpting with tin foil, but I would start with a cardboard structure first then cover in tin foil and then pal Tiya in the same way, but covering all the way around. I’ll be doing something similar to this in air dry clay soon too, for home decor. Thank you 😊
What beautiful work and what creativity! I love this piece. This is the first time I came across your channel. I am so impressed with your step by step process. Thank you for sharing in such an informative way.
Thank you for your knowledge of air dry clay. I find it very interesting but I couldn't have a face in the garden but a pot or bird would be nice.
Thank you for all the advice and information that you include. It is so helpful! And thank you for sharing this new medium. It looks like the perfect blend of concrete (which I find a bit intimidating) and clay. And that design! It looks spectacular.
This would be a great medium for all sorts of things. Garden sculptures, of course, like making a fairy house over a stump or a nice tortoise or bunny or even a bird bath. Plant pots would be a good idea, too. Also holiday designs for the seasons. I looked at the product website and it says you can paint it with acrylics, too.
Can be coloured with exterior acrylics, concrete stains, and india inks. You can even mix Iron-based coloured oxides to the powder to achieve unique colouring.
Thank you, sounds like you have plenty of ideas to keep you going a while, have fun
AMAZING! Thanks for exposing us to new mediums and ideas. Do you know if it will adhere to fiberglass? Trying to repair a water fountain.
Thanks, I would think so, not that I’ve tried, drop them a message on their website, they’ll let you know
I just found out about this product today and I'm SO excited. I've been wanting to make outdoor fairy houses and this is perfect for that!
Lovely, Sarah. You're so talented and your projects are so inspirational. If I had any talent at all, I'd make a small castle/ cottage/ library to grow ivy around. Is Pal Tiya suitable for bird baths? Thanks for the reminder that Spring is around the corner. Keep up the great work!
Yes, hurrah spring is most certainly around the corner. Yes this would be fantastic for bird baths, all the best ❤️ and Thank you 😊
This is new to me very interesting I have done hypertufa medium I was wondering if I could use your technique but use my medium as I do some garden items ty
Do you mix hyper tufa to the same consistency as this? It seems that pal tiya premium is far more durable. Try a small item in your medium and see what happens, it sounds like over time it will break down
Im brand new ti airdry art. Infact haven't made anything yet but the face was amazing. My minds going into over drive with tips. Especially foil for adding depth and contours. Ive subscribed ❤
This is a different material to air dry clay but you can do the same with the air dry clay like I do on the face sculptures in this video:

@RedRockingBird Thank you I've had a look at the video although I've also learnt what score and slip means. Brilliant x
What a beautiful sculpture! Looks amazing both inside and out in the garden!
@PurpleBookShelf Classic you can get smaller packs, like you saw in my video
@PurpleBookShelf Classic Many artists purchase the large 40lb bags as this is the most economical - around $5 per pound delivered to your door in the USA. A standard bag can make 6 faces like the one shown in the video for a cost of around $35 per face, plus the cost of cardboard, foil, and hot glue.
We created Pal Tiya Premium because you simply can't use cement in thin-walled applications like this nor get anything like the detail you can with our medium. Cement would be much heavier.
We are looking at a midsize pack but they are not as economical as the standard bag.
@@PalTiya thank you, I recommend anyone to get the 3lb bag and see how you get on, if you make a small sculpture and really form it with tinfoil, you'd be surprise how little of the product can actually be used, I made a small bird from a handful of clay.
@@RedRockingBird in our latest video we used just 1 40lb bag for a 3ft tall outdoor sculpture. Yes, it goes far.
Amazing video Thank you!!! If I wanted to paint this for the outside is any waterproof paint okay? and If I'm not happy with how the fully dried clay looks in certain areas (before adding paint) can I use sand paper to buff it out / adjust it? Thank you!!!
Love your videos.. always feel so inspired after watching! 2 questions: after drying, is the piece heavy? Also, can this medium be applied to existing pots/containers? Thanks so much!
Thank you, yes it is heavy, very solid and robust. I haven't tried adding to an existing pot but I would have thought this could work, i'd see if i could scratch the pot in some way first for a key, best of luck, enjoy
Looks amazing! U are so talented!!! Where can I get the product from? I'm in Europe
Thank you, currently Europe is a bit tricky www.paltiya.com/shop.html lets hope that changes
Oh my goodness...I can't tell you how delighted I am that I stumbled across your site in particular. I have been a professional artist for 30 yrs and it is NOT often I find someone who can teach me something I DIDN'T already know! I dig and dig and dig into sites and videos hoping at least to learn about new products that I might be able to experiments with successfully - which you have handed to me on a bright silver platter, thank you! - but you are a wonderful teacher whose guidance I enjoy. Not every artist is willing to reveal their processes for fear of being outdone by another using their own techniques to one-up them, so I thank you kindly for sharing what you know, how you work.
Hi Stephanie, thank you for your absolutely gorgeous comment, it makes me smile a lot, I aim to inspire and hopefully encourage others who maybe don’t always reach towards creativity to have a go a something new and enjoy their creative journey 😊 Have fun with your projects, many thanks for watching
