And in the night Preston and I see the fireworks from the hood of his truck. Preston has baby blue eyes, and he is a very great friend. Preston has a girlfriend. Mitchell, or Becky, or Sarah Beth, something like that. I learned a lot of American sayings! Like "hit the road, Jack!", "hold your horses!," "these immigrants are coming to steal our jobs, but not like you though, you're different!," "every kiss begins with Kay." Also, all of the houses are carpeted! Everything in America is carpeted! I hope to see you soon, Mom. Good night, "see you later, Alligator!" haha, god bless.

It's actually incredibly deep. How scary and sad it must be to go to a country you never been before and try to make it. Then call your mom and she doesn't answer but you leave her a heart felt message... that hit deep.
Give some credit, too, to the writer of the sketch, Julio Torres. He writes a lot of the ones that have this kind of dream like view of cultural oddities.

Over time Diego & Prestons relationship progresses to a physical one right? One night things get all hot & heavy and diego finally lets Preston hit that. He's going to town right? He has no idea his boy just duced it because the booty is clean! **Charmin**

It brought me back memories when I was doing Basic Combat Training at Ft Leonard Wood, MO with the US Army and I used to call my Mom in Puerto Rico from a phone booth just like that one to tell her about the snow...and how great time I was having ( bullshit I was crying every night it was hard, 5 below zero and most of the people were making fun of me for being Puertorican...that was back in 1978). But I made it and served this country with pride & honor.

The amount of times I've been told "these foreigners coming over stealing our jobs -not you! You're different 😊" I can only emphasize with everyone struggling with being targeted for their nationalities and skin colours, it's not nice, I don't feel better for anyone telling me that I'm allowed where I am as it usually is because of my Scandinavian features (white and blonde) It makes me feel a bit dirty to be honest when I get a seal of approval where others don't, I'm not a surgeon or a teacher I simply work in retail, but somehow because of my skin colour I'm allowed.. Walk away and have nothing to do with anyone who will box us all in like cows getting herded according to which is the better breed

It is telling the story of an illegal immigrant worker, dark background, living in hiding in the shadows as politicians say, using a calling card because it is cheaper than a cell phone he cant afford. His job as a dish washer. His boss compensating his low wages by paying him with friendship perhaps even hiding him from deportation police. Just a sad skit really.
