(Sep 10, 2021) Chasing GMTX 333 on the now abandoned Orangeville Brampton Railway

This is some historical footage that i felt i needed to upload, from the final year of the OBRY's operations. The line is part of CP's former Owen sound Sub that at one time ran all the way to it's namesake town. The footage was taken over 2 years ago, and i wasn't as good at it then as i am now, so it isn't up to par with my recent videos but it's historical now and needs to be out there.
In recent years, the remaining portion of the line from Streetsville, ON, to Orangeville has been operated as the Orangeville Brampton railway, being operated in it's final years by the Trillium railway using a leased EMD MP15AX, GMTX 333.
I was able to document movements on this historic rail line on 5 occasions throughout 2021. On this day, i arrived in Orangeville early to find GMTX 333 switching the yard, before heading to Streetsville. It later returned to switch some industries in town before returning to the yard to await it's next run. The trackage from Streetsville Ontario, to Orangeville is now abandoned and awaiting removal, the tracks within the city of Orangeville have already been removed in the past year and the crossings have been paved over. A sad end, but i'm glad i could document it.

Hi BrantfordRailfan. Thank you for doing such a great job of documenting some of the last years of the OBRY. Those images need to kept alive for future railfans. I did recognize many of the places you filmed from my one visit there in the OBRY's final months as well as for the 'Last Day' film I made. I especially liked your capture of that tiny bridge where I did not actually film. I wish you a wondeful Holiday Season and all the best for 2024. James.

Going forward, it won't be an issue for drivers lol, the tracks are out of service and will most likely be gone within a few years.
