Yeesssss! That’s the correct way to make the bed 😅 and my grandma was the one that taught me! Lol. Can’t wait to check out the bedding set because organic cotton is soooo soft to sleep on ☁️💕

Hi Ashley ! I had been told that about the bed making but I forgot. I will start doing it again though. Absolutely love love this makeover. I think it compliments you very well ! Those sheets look so plush and soft. Shout out to Chase for all his hard work ! Savy helped some too ! I love those lamps ! Everything came together well. It's nice to switch it up every now and then. It's good to refresh ! Or as you would say....itch to switch!!! Have a great week!

I was taught the same thing. But I was also taught to do “hospital corners” at the end of the bed so our sheets are tucked in and don’t bore around everywhere while your sleeping and it’s “less” making the bed in the morning, just pull and straighten the sheet and comforter. Your room turned out so pretty with the small changes 😍

My grandma taught me to make a bed the same way! Along with doing the "hospital" or "military" corner at the foot of the bed!
Editing to add, it looks cosier now! It's one of those makeovers that you don't necessarily realize is necessary until it's done! I love how it looks!

I know you have shared with us many updated master bedroom videos. This was the first time, that I have noticed, that I can remember, you showing us your entire ceiling. I absolutely love those tray ceilings. I think they look so classy.

It looks really good Ashley and ya I was taught in HS to put your top sheet on backwards as well so your bed would look good when turned down. Also folding a fitted sheet with tucking all the corners together and then folding the sheet. I think I am always amazed by how people don't already know about both of these methods! So keep passing it along :)

When I was 12 my godmother took me to a class in San Francisco to learn to make a bed. We also learned how to iron sheets. We were taught the top sheet goes upside down so when you pull the cover top back it looks great. But we were taught to do hospital corners at bottom corners. So many people down even use top sheet. Love the makeover.

Whenever I make my bed with a fitted sheet and a flat sheet set I always do that upside down sheet thing that you were talking about but I usually just have a fitted sheet and a doona with a doona cover and I love the room like this it’s more serene and calming 💐😃

My sister is a retired nurse. She taught me at an early age to put the top sheet on the way you do. The reason is quite different though. She said that with elderly patients the wrong side of the seam would rub their delicate skin and cause problems. Bed linens have come a long way but I am now one of those elderly folks😊. Love your channel !!

I love the new lamps❤️❤️, the mirror on the fireplace compliments the mirrors above the night stands. I was taught to tuck the corners in like a hospital corner. My daughter in law showed me this because she uses a lot of printed sheets mine are one color and the neutral blanket is so calming. Chase was He-Man lifting the heavy bed and the rug is beautiful, thank you for sharing the makeover. I hope you have an awesome week.

Very pretty, I like the updates. I make our bed the same way and with the shams out. When decorating, odd numbers are more pleasing to the eye, so I like your 3 shames in front too. You have inspired me to layer our mantle. Looks better when fuller even though I’m more of a minimalist. Love your videos Ashley!

It looks beautiful but most importantly the bedding is comfortable with long lasting good quality. I love that sheets now include those tags. More times then not I would get it wrong. Absolutely about the flat sheet. I’ve been doing that for years. Also because that side is softer on the inside. I want that part touching me not the rough side. One other tip, I fold my sheet long ways first so that when I unfold it to put on the bed it is centered down the middle so I don’t have to move it back and forth. My husband thought I was nuts for those two things I do but once I showed him why he was pretty impressed.
