My cousin lived in Lyon Street, Bognor and I visited the camp many times in 1968 when I stayed with her. I went back recently and all the character had been sucked out of it.
This looks exactly as I remember. My first experience of Butlin's was a day visit to the Bognor camp in 1966. We liked it, so came back for several years, booking for one week each time. We always went out of season to save money.
I remember going to Butlin's Bognor, with my, sadly now late, parents in the 1960s, uncertain if it was 1967 or 68 [I think the latter is more likely]. I would either have been 9 or 10 at the time. It is a little sad to watch this now I'm old, as all those who were little kids in the film will also be elderly now and all their parents will be dead.

I cant remember the band on the sports field. Does anyone remember what they were doing at butlins?
