Great review…. I’ve just done my first run the AP3 and like you had some issues with the lock down with the laces…. I love my Boston 12s, that’s why I got them. Hopefully they get better once broken in more
I'm really liking the pro 3 a lot more than the alphafly 1 which killed my foot arch. Where the pro 3 shines for me is comfort and show them a long straight road and you can just keep hitting your race pace mile after mile even when really tired. The upper isn't perfect and lacing does take a bit to get right but you can find a good balance in the end.
Hi Kevin. I get that. I enjoy both shoes although I discovered recently that I popped the air unit in the AlphaFly V1 on a threshold run while training for Boston. I didn’t realize it until the other day when I got looking them over. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.
Hi Tim, just in time shoes battle , I actually run my marathon in the VF2s and I really enjoy them … I had the pro3s just for a 10k run lol I had to send them back due to an issue … something wrong with the energy rods ( a noise ) but for my next marathon I was thinking to run it in another shoe … and why not the Adios 🤔… but I really like the bounce of the VF2s and the fact that I can keep the pace after km30 with them. It’s true that the VF2s are a bit bulky … I d like to feel the same propulsion as the Vf2 … I don’t know will see … the pro3 are actually discounted 🤔. Have a nice Sunday … cheers from France ☀️😁🇫🇷
Hi Franky. I hear you. I hope all is well with you in France. Here in the States both the VF2’s and the Adios Pro 3’s are on sale for less than $200 U.S. dollars. I just picked up the saucony endorphin pro 3’s and I’ve been enjoying them. I’m looking at changing up my Marathon shoes. I have an open mind and will be testing out various options I’ve the next couple months. Have a great weekend!
Thanks for sharing the comparison between those super shoes, Tim. I have a question about tye Nike Alphafly Next %2: Do they not give you any ankle issues? Well, I understand the super shoes can hardly have comfortable tongue, uppers, and light weight at the same time, but all in all, I wish they could find some ways to create better and comfy (instead of flimsy) gusseted tongue and upper in the future.
Hi Jean. No I haven’t had any issues with my ankle in the AlphaFly 2. I did just discover that I had popped the air unit in my AlphaFly V1 that did cause some ankle issues for me but I have to own that one. I had over 300 miles in them and I should have retired them before getting to that point. I just ran in the Vaporfly V3 today and I love the upper on them. Have a great day! Stay safe.
Hi, I really really loved Alphafly 1 and when AF 2 came i was so dissapointed. I felt that Nike destroyed the bounce feeling in them. I haven´t tried Adidas (yet) but did my 2 Sevilla Marathons in AF 1 and looking all over for a shoe with the same feeling. Thanks for a good review/ Christian, Sweden
The Adios Pro 3 has been my marathon shoe of choice, before that was the Alphafly v1! I didn't bother trying the Alphafly v2. Looking forward to seeing the Adios Pro 4, Alphafly v3, and Endorphin Pro 4 before picking a marathon shoe for the fall.
Hi Michael. I’m with you. I’m really looking forward to all of the new shoe drops coming up soon. They should start coming out beginning next month or so. Have a great day.
Hi Rods. I’d personally go with the Adios Pro 3. I like the AlphaFly V2 but I feel like the Pro 3 is a like faster and once I got the upper figured out, it’s working great. I just picked up a second pair of the Pro 3’s the other day. Have a great day.
@@RunTall thats a good choice, I’m size 9.5us in vaporfly 2, if i go to adios pro 3 still 9.5us or i gotta have half a size down into 9us? Plz me help me sir
adidas needs to rethink their uppers. For me Pro3 first eyelet is too forward, pull it back, and cushion a bit on the tongue. I love the AF2 but it is not perfect.
I agree with that. I’m hoping version 4 will have a better enclosure system. I’m looking forward to seeing what changes they make. Have a great weekend.
I think the Nike AlphaFly either V1 or V2. The air pods do a great job with impact protection. But, I think both the adios Pro 3 and the AlphaFly will do a great job for you. Have a great day.
Tim I am struggling with pain points on the top of the alpha fly 2 from the last eyelit on one foot so much so i can only lace up to the penultimate eyelet!
Hi Craig. Sorry to hear that. It’s frustrating for sure. It took a while for me to get comfortable in them. I hope you can get it worked out. Thanks for sharing your experience in them. Have a great weekend.
Very good detailed and honest review

I hope so too. It took me a little while to get the lacing figured out for me. But once I did, they became a favorite of mine. Have a great weekend!

Ι run marathon in 03.30 hours. Iam 80 kg. For my kilograms which better? Iam heavyweight and i want more protection. Thanks
