Hi all. I am sharing a video of an astronomy observer's chair I recently built. The chair is heavily based on a design by Daniel Barth, who posted the design on stargazers’ lounge. I have posted the link to the plans at the end of this comment. My apologies for the sometimes-jerky video, and even more apologies for the two dead points when I had to put the phone down. (I am not terribly tech savvy so I couldn't figure out how to edit the videos. You can skip from 3:38 to 3: 45 and from 7:15 to 7:36). Also, at one point, I said that the rail part is glued and screwed to the seat back, and that I first glued the rail to the seat and then drilled the pilot holes for the screws. Rather, I clamped the rail to the seat back, pre-drilled the pilot holes, and then glued the rail to the back and then screwed it. Also, any awkwardness show with the chair is attributable to my lack of coordination and holding my phone in one hand, and not to Dan's design. Awesome job on that, Timothy! Thank you for sharing!! I recently purchased a similar chair that was pre-cut (since I really like all my fingers), and am preparing to assemble it. I like the adaptations you made to yours.

Nice chair and I appreciate the video, but tripod, man. Put the phone on a tripod, lol.
