Rae's vent was clearly a way of claiming Engineer cause she was with the other crew, and with two people venting on 4 its very likely that one is engineer.
i think if he hadnt died he would've figured out she was the engineer anyways so it only left brooke. Toast is usually good at not tunnel visioning in final 4.

That wasn't really "right in front of him". The task letters are covering it that it was easy to miss when he was already preoccupied walking to right. When he saw Rae venting, it was clear af and nothing is blocking it. Brooke's was covered by the texts.
That was smart of Sykunno. He knew everyone knew Blau was jester; jackal could tie it if him and Rae voted Brooke, so he wanted Rae to vote Blau so he could swap.
rae already voted so it wouldnt matter, instead he made it seem like he was voting blau, and as jester blau votes himself, so the only way for brooke to tie it would be to vote herself but he was actually voting her too, hence he didnt swap, basically, the goal was to ensure brooke wouldnt vote blau to force a tie since if *he* voted blau then brooke voting blau gives the W to the jester which she wouldnt risk..... very smart, but it wasnt an attempt at a swap play, it was far too late for that as rae voted ages ago
It also shows the power of Lighter that Toast isn't exploiting. He only used Lighter to stay away from people but it can be used to spy on people from a distance beyond imposter vision.
I replayed that a few times, I think Toast looks off to the side briefly in the exact moment Brooke can be seen through the wall, probably distracted from seeing of Rae vent lol
At first, I thought Lighter is a weak role but actually its a powerful role if used properly. Camping the lights is nice because you can just watch them running to lights and maybe some impostors will kill suddenly.
I wish the lighter had more to it though. It only gives you imposter vision when toggled on. How interesting would it be if it had the ability to control the vision range of others? Like for example, if you toggle a button, low-vision players and high-vision players switch vision for a period of time. Or the ability to turn off the lights of all players near them, giving an element of challenge to killers to find the lighter early and kill them (which will be difficult when their vision is so low). Or maybe the passive ability to increase the vision range of low-vision players in the vicinity of them (while simultaneously lowering vision of high-vision players nearby). The vision circle will shrink or grow in real time similar to the effect of lights turning off and back on depending on vicinity distance. There's a lot they can do here without just leaving it as a role that gives a regular crewmate imposter vision.
Its kinda dumb, seeing how the people with perfect vision(i.e bad guys, which are impostors and neutrals) can also see you just standing there in the middle of nowhere, meaning they can figure out you are the lighter. If the lighter had increased FOV or everybody had limited vision, then it could have been OK.

Near Total vision is extremely powerful, it’s just what you make of it. Toast just isn’t in the business of ruining good fun. All the information it gives, in the hands of a player like toast, is definitely strong enough to justify it being a special role. And toast can pretend to be like three or four different roles to explain his sight, depending on the scenario, or he can just flat out lie and say he didn’t or couldn’t see something to benefit himself or push the game a certain way. Is it the most powerful role? Definitely not, but it’s more than strong enough. Engaging enough, though, not sure about that one, jury’s still out. Seems fun enough so far though

Mainly because he’s wholesome and his voice is soothing- also because he’s very smart. He kinda reminds me of how Dream plays among us.

And they didn't show up when Toast went over to that vent himself. And the gate to decontamination wasn't used either. So it was very obvious that both Brooke and Rae were venting, but Toast seemed to be too busy thinking about Rae to notice.
