  • Cres is a beautiful Croatian Island in the Adriatic that somehow managed to stay a hidden gem. Undisturbed by mass tourism, adorned by oak forests, medieval hilltop villages and beautiful quiet beaches, the island's slogan is no stress on Cres. Cres is one of the biggest islands in the Adriatic. Located in the Gulf of Kvarner it is home to about 3000 residents, most of them living in Cres Town. Hi guys, my name is Rok and I’m a tour guide and I can’t wait to show you things to do and the best beaches on Cres Island.

You explained very well . Most videos about Cres don’t tell much about the history in Cres. You could make a part 2 of this great place I will be soon . Thank you

C'mon, be realistic. Locally produced food? I have a house on Cres for 40 years now. There was a lot of local food until 2000 maybe. Then Italian plastic stormed the market. The worst one, only for export, Italians will not even sell it in their local stores. Old ladies selling local products are all gone now, I am quite surprised to see this one still around. There was cheese, wine, liquors... now all that is local is lamb and some fish, very little. Most of the fish are of Asian import. Only more expensive restaurants will serve local one. Accomodation went up incredibly in last 5 years. Now it's hard to find anything bellow 100€ per night. And when you see socialist furniture in these rooms, you can't believe your eyes. If I did not have a house of my own, I'd never ever go there again. They praise their local olive oil, but it will never be on the table on any restaurants, they will serve cheapest 5€ per liter Italian one.
