Jimin has all my Jams. I totally agree with you. Me and my brother grew up in the arms of my parents but my family fell apart when my parents got divorced. My brother has always had problems with drugs and alcohol but my parents never left him. Of course it’s easy to say you can disown your family when you’re angry but you can never totally let go of someone that is your own blood. I’m glad you have supportive parents and that you realized that now.

That 11yo girl they said so mature... she will be very upset as adult realizing she matured too fast.. missing the chances being a kid.. i grew up similarly as her.. being told my face remind them of my father and how they hate him.. tip toeing around uncles and aunts when u hv to ask for favors they hate to do.. staying in their place knowing u r not welcome... crying silently... all this will scar for life.. but once u learn not to self-pity, everything will be just a meaningful experiences that helped u grow.. then hardest to overcome---- comparing your unusual life with peers at very young age, which she have to go through... wish u all the luck in the world

the fact that her daughter is the one telling her/the mom "to be a good girl and listen to her parents" speaks volumes on the situation for both the child, parent & grandparents. it sucks for all parties involved and most have their own issues/fault in the matter except the child of course.

It's really a concern. The problem is psychological, in one side the older sister can't take pressure from others or environment, other side the parents takes a hard way treating their daughter. Poor the granddaughter that takes thr hate from her grandparents.
The solution is I think that the older sister could start prioritize her daughter, since she is her responsibility. And endure the stress from works, because she needs to pay a lot of debt. If she still can't endure it, there's no solution for it, to make she pay the debt. Since she wants to pay it first. Sorry bad English, and please take no offense.

  • @slefevr

I really started crying after I saw the father crying. When the older sister came in, it looked like he wanted to act like they were already losen up their trust and hope of her. But then he started crying which made me realize, he really still loves her and it looks so much like he’s in emotional pain about seeing her daughter living like that. Everything good to their family!❤️😭

This concern was.. exhausting. It's probably one of the most serious on the show, I was surprised.
It's one thing to make a debt for your old sick parents and still want to drink with friends and not work, because it's hard. It's a whole another thing to also have a child at the age of 11, so mature and understanding. I can't blame her parents for telling the girl they hate her sometimes, they have so much on their heads. They can't even take it out on their own daughter, because she's somewhere living her life. Hope everything was resolved and she does what she said she would, gets a proper job and takes some of that stress of her parents and daughter's shoulders.

Her father, probably. He looks very strict and seems to get easily angry. As her mother wasn't often at home, the father was in charge to take care about them. She probably had to take care about the home, herself and her younger sister by herself. They mentioned she got often beaten and felt lonely so she maybe just felt betrayed by her family, because they were supposed to love her.

It seems like she liked the freedom from everyday life she got when she ran away, but clearly she’s got herself in a complete mess. But when she had her daughter she started to get back on track and stuck around for 3 years, but sabotaged herself and left again. From what she’s said it seems like she feels like a burden to her family, but instead of trying to change and turn things around she just carried on with the way she was living. I hope this has given her the push to change things and the family becomes closer.

I honestly feel so bad for the little girl. No one askes to be born. Being born to a mother that would rather drink and be with friends than be your mom is unfair but that little girl is so mature. She has her auntie and her grandparents so that at least was a blessing. As for the woman, she needs to start serious counseling and address the issues she is having. Maybe it's a cultural difference but I believe that there's comes a time when you have to take responsibility for your life. Things may have been bad and people could've wronged you but as you grow older you have move on and overcome for yourself. Not for them but for yourself or you'll be in such a miserable place. I have a lot of hope for her. I hope she's doing better.

Such a shame to see this, but every time the father made any sudden movements the daughter next to him would shudder or shiver, I am making a big assumption here, when he said he beat her... I think he did so more violently than led to believe and it could have been part of why she was distant and always away from home...
I could be very wrong of course, but when I seen her do that several times... I knew she was really scared of him.

  • @pprraapparra
    @pprraapparra 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

I knew something must have happened when she was young, and it turned out that she had an unplanned pregnancy. There was no way a person behaves like her unless there's an incident that makes her overridden with guilt and eventually decided to run away. Esp for a woman, pregnancy will change a lot part of her life. Even in the normal pregnancy, the ones you expect to happen within marriage, with a caring husband and welcoming grandparents, a mother still need to prepare herself. This is just terrible and reminds me of other victims of violence I meet through work.
I guess working out this situation with the family is the hardest part. Although she herself is a victim, her family will not only deal with her problem but also their own problems. There are hints of a toxic family environment too so it might be difficult for her to rely on the family for moral support.
Honestly, I still have no idea to work this out. One thing for sure is that they all have to work together as a family, but that's the ideal situation, and more often than not, it doesn't go that way. If there's anything I admire, it's the fact that all of them come to this program; it takes a lot of courage to do so. The older sister does have a lot of things to change, but first off, I am proud of her for not being in denial. I hope you'll have the strength to heal and stand on your own, so later you can help other people too. I'll pray for you and your family.

This is a very serious concern, she needs to get real counseling. For me her behavior pattern sounds very much like the borderline illness or something in that direction (though I’m no psychiatrist) where ones emotions are very unstable, you have problems with intimate relationships and often harm yourself through drugs or something. I really hope she can get better and learn to be happy again!ㅠㅠ

it's quiet hard to solve this problem. the main point here actually is the way they communicate with each other that becomes the problem. they cant speak honestly to each other, older sister chooses to run away and the parents dont know how to be sweet towards their children (when they're kids). sometimes, time can heal, but for their case it just makes it worse. it becomes really serious this time. all they have to do is sit down in one room, talk heart to heart to each other, even arguing is better, so they know what they dont really like towards each other. all members in family no exception.

I don't think people are truly considering the older daughter's situation. She was beaten and abused as a child, clearly, and then neglected by her mother(even if it was for good reason). If you have any doubts that she was abused notice her RELIEF that her parents were treating her daughter well - ie way better than they ever were to her AND how even now they tell the 11 year old they hate her for looking like her mother. Imagine the damage such comments from your caregivers would have on a young mind and her self esteem/ These parents are NOT innocent victim but perpetrators of terrible parenting and this is the result of their actions coming home to roost. Any person with a basic understanding of developmental psychology, medicine or trauma can see that this woman has become this way due to her parent's treatment. Her sister is probably not innocent either - in abuse siblings are either also victims or they become the favoured child and join in. What I see here is a very damaged woman in need of help from mental health professionals, someone who can help her with her debt and alcoholism and not being forced back into the home of the people who abused and neglected her for years. Yes, her daughter is suffering and she shouldn't leave her child but that "suffocation" she's talking about it called anxiety/PTSD - she literally cannot breath - and it is incredibly damaging and overwhelming. No wonder she has turned to substance misuse. If you haven't experienced PTSD then you cannot understand how it feels - your body and mind are tricking you into thinking you are in grave danger and awful things are going to happen even if they're not. Every time it is triggered you are reliving the ABSOLUTE WORST moments of your life like they were still happening. One thing I hate about this is that I have no idea if they offer ACTUAL professional help outside of the show - this women needs medical and psychological intervention, and the family probably needs social work involvement. But nah, instead let's all just sit in a semi-circle and let entirely unqualified people criticise in the name of "support". It's incredibly damaging and thinly veiled voyeurism. I am sickened by the sheer ignorance in this episode and I wish the producers of the show would have proper training- a genuine professional on team, a post-show mediator, anything to actually help these people instead of profit from their suffering - this show on it's own will not resolve anything for these people and they have been fully taken advantage of for entertainment value and it is disgusting. On top of this, EVEN the show's solution is very poor. They have not offered a middle ground whatsoever. Instead of having to move back into the house where she feels suffocated, why can't she move closer to them and visit more often? Why can't they support her while she's not at home as long as she visits regularly, every week etc and stays in touch by coming in person? There are so many other options available to this family that they don't offer. Why? Because as I said before - this isn't actually here to help - the show is for entertainment value, not for genuine conflict resolution and helping people. You can see it in the editing tricks whose side they take. It's just all so wrong

but don't forget about her being bullied at school either, i mean you can blame her parents but you can't fully blame them. it's really complicated this case because it involves the way she got raised but also the way got treated by her friends. at the end it's just so frustrating to see how the society and the parents have raised such a selfish yet miserable person.

Not really want to brag about this but the same thing happened to my cousin's family. She was a nice girl but ended up acted out because her parents were busy and her siblings didn't live with them. She got pregnant, her mother didn't want the child because she resent both of them. Finally when i turned 16 (legal to have a child in our country) I adopted my niece when she was just 14 days. It has been 3 years, we lost touch with my cousin's family, my cousin moved to another state but we still keep in touch although her daughter can't recognize her now. She is growing up well with us (especially my foster family) but I often remained speechless whenever she asks about her father. I mean, I adopted her and I'm just 19 now. I'm engaged since 6 months ago (don't judge, I love being young mother and wife) and my fiance is totally fine with my baby, he even said that she's a blessing for both of us. I could careless about the past but I couldn't help the thoughts of telling her the truth when the time is right, someday. Because I don't want my cousin to think that I seize her daughter, that she will come back someday and tell everything to her. I don't want my daughter that I raised ever since I was very young to resent me and act out just like how her real mother did.
