C'est super, bravo Antoine et Tommy j'aimerais avoir la chance de te faire venir en Haute Gaspésie pour que les gens du coin voyage sur cette musique fantastique. Encore Bravo
I agree, I've never seen Antoine so into his playing, a simple part though he played *compared to the other videos available of him with Tommy!!* You can feel the groove and vibe! I love the 'cultural' feel to the song..the animated performance by the players...and of course Antoine's jumper =D I only wish that they included the ovation they deserved at the end of the video.
Truely amazing...there's no better way to communicate the feelings that pour out of your hearts. You guys have found your gift and a good one it is. Keep doing what you do!
What an amazing display of colaboration, a sweet taste of the of what different, distinguishable instruments can do on their own rite, and each musicians mastery over it. The song we listened to evolved as a result of all these elements. Comparatively, that is how Google Wave is gonna improve email. It just makes sense to bring people (musicians) into a composition and improve, build, and enhance a simple idea or song, to make it great. Get invited today!
these guys are soo amazing musicians...they move to the music and there facial expression shows feeling to the song as well as them just having fun..which its really all about
OMFG! Violin is such a powerful instrument. Never realized it until i heard these guys play. I have been listening their music for the last week every day, and im liking it more every time. ITs amazing!!!
I believe he said "Tracteur" that mean truck in english, those kinda truck that we see in the farm, because the song is named "tango agricole" and at the begining of the song they talk about how they made this song and it's a big story around farms and everything XD
When people speak into microphones they usually test it by saying "Check one, check two" in some order. Why I think Tommy said it was probably because the microphone was giving them difficulty earlier in the festival, hence: he was joking around by testing to make sure it still worked.
Let me explain what that "silly cloth" is for (there are many possible reasons, but here are some of the main ones: When you play the guitar as hard as Dufour does, their is a chance of pulling the tuning pegs loose, de-tuning the guitar in the middle of the song. The way that Dufour has tied that "silly cloth" onto his guitar helps prevent that. Also, it helps soften the sound of the strings (bouncing of of an absorbent material) and it keeps the strings from hitting and damaging the guitar.
Tommy said "tractor," not "check three." they explained at this performance that the song, meaning "agricultural tango," was about "a really funky guy on a tractor."
I just switcht out of the window, right to the start, but after a minute i just switcht back. I must see if that was realy just a Guitarr and a Violin O.o amazing
My friend I think you've got a point on that!...I dont think that every rock star guitarist treats his guitar like this guy...And I know what u mean from myself ...I like my guitar to look like new even if its 22 years old and a cheap one! ..I couldn't agree more with u on that!..Enjoy music man,regards...
Sounds like an orchestra after a while. Not just an orchestra but one that is playing in a festival with the whole damn town dancing there brains out with pep.
idk why, but when i look at them i just think they would be amazing characters for a humor movie, they looklike funny guys. violinist looks alittle like will ferrel :D
if the name is in Spanish then it should be "Tango Agricola" wich is the correct translation for Agricultural Tango since the word Agricole doesnt exist in Spanish nor Castilian.
Holly sh-, this is gold why isn’t it more popular, it is 15 years old. It hurts to see some treasures just dont get the praise they deserve

What an amazing display of musicianship. You would have to be pretty damn good to get away with wearing a charlie brown sweater :) Awesome song.

I stand corrected. Thank you :)
The bridge reminds me of Naissance :)
Recorded a year ago today!
Tommy said "tractor," not "check three."
they explained at this performance that the song, meaning "agricultural tango," was about "a really funky guy on a tractor."
Vivace!!!

Antoine strumming? It works out so well.
I agree..
nice :D
My kingdom for the song title...
This is called "Tango Agricole".
Antoine Dufour
It sounds like "tractor". The song is supposed to be about a spanish guy on a tractor, hence the song's name "Tango Agricole" (Agricultural Tango)
Godly
idk why, but when i look at them i just think they would be amazing characters for a humor movie, they looklike funny guys. violinist looks alittle like will ferrel :D
He doesn't use it for that purpose. He said in a video it's to get rig of the unwanted harmonics he gers when muting strings.
What does Tommy say that makes Antoine Laugh at 4:25 ? That's where it is all about: fun =)
4:14 he just hold the violin with his chin. what a boss
g major, c minor ,g sharp major repeated!
and from 1:24 its g sharp major,b flat major
hope that helped:)
jack:)
I think it's because it was recorded live at the festival.
Okay =3
can some one add a drum track to this ? ;) that would be awesome
AAAAAAAAa.. antony + tommy = way too good music...
5Stars obviously, love the songs those 2 plays together.
Antoine Dufour can make a turtleneck look badass.

I say: " Running through tunnels" makes a great title.
i think he says "treasure, since that part right afterwards kinda sounds like a song from pirates of the caribbean lol
this is jazz
if the name is in Spanish then it should be "Tango Agricola" wich is the correct translation for Agricultural Tango since the word Agricole doesnt exist in Spanish nor Castilian.

spanish violin piece
Tractor

It sounds very spanish. I half expected a Flamenco dancer to emerge from the side of the stage.
Such constructive criticism. x]
sounds spanish mixed with country
