Thank you so much for making such a detailed video. I’ve recently moved house and finally get to build my dream wardrobe/ clothes room. I’ve been looking at these wardrobes from Ikea but have been a bit lost with all of the options, this has really helped to give me some ideas. X
Thanks for the Pax update; would be great if the white and oak 2.0 versions came out soon as they look so much easier to put together. For my two pennies ... I think that during Covid and post-Covid, Ikea was greedy and pushed up prices a bit too much (pretty much everything in store and online went up much more than inflation and the increased cost of materials due to scarcity), which resulted in decreased volume sales and hence hit bottom line profits. The recent decrease in prices (across the board) reflect that more volume sales increase economy of scales and thus profit margins. That's my take anyway and I am very glad they are rectifying prices to make things more affordable again.
We started our new home Pax cupboards from Oct …missing one off white TONSTAD door due to stock issues and now it’s been out of stock in NL since Dec 😱 sooo anxious that they discontinue because I love the colour and design of the off white/ecru door.
I asked in store and they said until they have sold the ones they have the 2.0 won’t be released. Bit frustrating as I want to do my dressing room, and I need the 2.0 as I’m tight on height.
Reharding PAX 2.0. I believe they are still testing this model. As i assembled another Grey/Beige recently and some of the part(s) have changed. The US version is also slightly different. It has a wide bracket for mounting the frame to the wall. IMO IKEA are still testing the 2.0 PAX. The early adopters are the guinea pigs. In the new instructions, they even have a warning not to drop the top panel when installing(similar to your accident you had).
Anyone got any ideas if it's possible to combine sliding door + hinged doors in a design? Doesn't look like the design tool lets you. e.g. sliding (100) / sliding (100) / hinged (50) / hinged (50). The hinge on the first 50 next to the sliding doors would need to be on the right - would this cause any issues?
I'm in the middle of a closet upgrade and I got all 2.0 pax frames in white. It's been great assembling. I'm in Texas.
@@bfifty3 that’s very interesting to hear. It’s very much easier. I’ve just bought two white in the largest width, originals so will take me longer 👎

I’m glad it was helpful 👍 Good luck with your build.

@@kiragajjar3324 these only launched here in the UK last summer. Fingers crossed they will be back in stock for you 🤞

@@henrooo I think you are 100% correct. Seems we are testing the new designs ! The top was painful when it hit me !
In Canada all the Pax in white I bought were 2.0. 100cm, 75, and 50 in both depths.
That’s interesting 🧐 Still doesn’t update us here in the UK, but maybe a full rollout is coming. What about your grey/beige ?
@@kirstygriffiths749 I am not sure on that, as I did not order those.
Hi, my pax top & bottom bases are damaged from moving, do you know if you buy them separately or do you have to purchase the whole new frame?thanks x
@@jax1407 contact IKEA customer service / spares in store. They might offer replacement bits.
Will they please bring back the black/brown color Pax.☹️
I think that’s a distant memory I’m afraid.
Wish they would
Do you know if the Pax 29” wide will have doors?
I wish they would do a half height pax
Me too! I had to cut a pax up to make my bedroom dressing table.

It seems that after the price reduction, the Komplement drawers no longer fully extend from the wardrobe. Has anyone else noticed this?
I’ve noticed that. I’m about to buy some more drawers so will check that.
