  • Rwandan-backed M23 rebels have reportedly seized control of a mining town in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, in an apparent violation of a ceasefire the group had earlier declared. The scale of civilian harm is also starting to emerge in the city of Goma, where civilians were caught in the crossfire of gunfights last week.
